A blazer is my favorite outerwear piece – it’s chic, elevated, and makes you feel instantly put together. Blazers are no longer for the corporate office anymore. In this post, as part of my winter wardrobe essentials series, I’m showing you six blazer outfit ideas for winter.
This exact blazer I’m styling today is from Mango. I find that they have many affordable blazer options. This one is out of stock in a few sizes, but I also like this one. All of these looks would translate well for spring with a few adjustments. I only own one blazer from Mango, but for sizing, I find it fits true to size.
My favorite thing about blazers (and why I LOVE them for capsule style wardrobes!) is that they can easily be worn dressy or casual depending on how you style it. Pair it with a blouse, trousers, and some pumps for an office look or wear with sneakers and a baseball cap for a casual weekend look.
For a modern silhouette, I would look for a blazer that is oversized rather than slim cut. I also always roll my sleeves to reveal a little wrist which I think adds a little casual sexy feel. I do this with all my tops and outerwear!
Six Blazer Outfit Ideas
LOOK ONE: Blazer + Graphic Tee + Denim + Chelsea Boots

Pairing my blazer with a graphic tee and chelsea boots is my favorite way to style it. It’s cool, casual, and comfortable. The detail on the graphic tee adds some interest and the boots are very practical everyday footwear.
LOOK TWO: Blazer + Turtleneck + Straight Denim + Ankle Boots

For a chic, Parisian look, pair your blazer with a slim fitting turtleneck, straight denim, and heeled ankle boots with a skinny shaft. To transition this look for spring, switch out the black turtleneck for a lighter option (like this one) and pair it with some nude or even white boots.
LOOK THREE: Blazer + Crewneck Sweater + Skinny Jeans + Knee High Boots

Blazer (similar) // Cashmere Sweater // Skinny Jeans // Knee High Boots // Bag (use code ASHLEYR15 for 15% off)
For a casual but still dressed up look, try pairing your blazer with a nice sweater, skinny jeans, and some knee high boots. The addition of a nice leather crossbody bag completes this look. For spring, switch out your knee high boots for a pair of loafers!
LOOK FOUR: Blazer + White Tee + Light Wash Denim + Sneakers + Baseball Cap

Blazer (similar) // Tee // Denim // Sneakers (limited sizing; similar) // Baseball Cap (old; similar) // Bag
I love the combination of sneakers and a blazer. The light wash denim and baseball cap make this look pretty casual but still elevated. This look is spring ready with no adjustments!
LOOK FIVE: Blazer + Blouse + Black Pants + Pumps

Blazer (similar) // Blouse (old from H&M; similar) // Black Pants // Black Pumps
This is not something I typically wear in my day to day life, but I wanted to show you a workwear look for the office. This blouse is super old from H&M, but I linked a very similar option.
LOOK SIX: Blazer + Relaxed Button Down + Denim + Mules

Blazer (similar) // Button Down // Denim (old; similar in the same style) // Mules (old from Madewell; similar) // Bag
Try pairing your blazer with a relaxed button down top, a great pair of denim, and mules for a cool and classic look. These white mules have been the best purchase, and I highly recommend getting a pair for spring. They instantly make any look trendy.
