This week I’m sharing my very first menu! I am one of those people that loves browsing the internet looking for new recipes to cook. These are the recipes I plan on cooking for my family during the coming week. I pulled these recipes from a variety of recipe blogs, some I’ve followed for awhile while some are new to me. We prefer recipes that are (mostly) healthy, but also family friendly (cause, damn, kids are picky!).
MONDAY

Turkey, Green Bean and Basil Stir Fry from The Defined Dish
I’ve yet to make a recipe from The Defined Dish, but I’ve heard raving reviews so I’m excited to try one out. I plan on serving this over brown rice with some fruit for the kids.
TUESDAY

Grilled Chicken Kebabs with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce from Skinnytaste
I am always on board from some chicken with yogurt sauce and these Lebanese inspired kebabs sound so refreshing. I’m planning on serving this with pitas and fresh chopped tomatoes from the farmer’s market.
WEDNESDAY

Shrimp Tacos from Two Peas and Their Pod
This light recipe looked perfect for the hot summer days we’ve been having here in KC. Grilled pineapple? Oh, yes.
THURSDAY

The Best BBQ Chicken from Foodie Crush
I was looking for a simple recipe for BBQ chicken and found this one in my search. The vegetable kebabs that appear in the picture alongside the chicken looked like the perfect side dish so I plan on making something similar.
FRIDAY

BBQ Chicken Lavash Pizza from Atoria’s Family Bakery
I plan on making some extra BBQ chicken on Thursday to top these pizzas. I’ve recently discovered lavash bread which I’ve been using for wraps for lunch and breakfast. It is a healthy lower carb option to traditional pizza dough (although, I can go for that sometimes, too).
