Four Shacket Looks For Winter 2023

One of my most popular posts on Pinterest is this post with Four Ways To Style A Shacket For Fall. I still stand by all those outfits, but I wanted to share an updated version with some new shacket looks for Winter 2023. I still love the cool, casual vibe of shackets. I like that they are a heavyweight, but stylish layer for winter, especially for those of us who live in colder climates. In this post, I’m sharing four shackets to wear this coming winter.

My exact shacket is from Banana Republic Factory and fits TTS. I’m wearing the XS. I also own this shacket from Madewell, too which comes in a few colors. I sized down to the XXS.

Four Shacket Looks For Winter 2023

LOOK ONE: Paired With A Hoodie, Leggings, and Sneakers

Shacket // Hoodie (old from H&M; similar) // Leggings // Socks // Sneakers // Beanie

Pairing your shacket with some leggings and sneakers is an easy and casual way to style it. I especially love the look with the hoodie peaking out the top. I also wanted to highlight the socks with sneakers element here. This was definitely a trend that I held off on; it felt weird on me the first few times I tried it; but it’s since grown on me, and now I love it. I included these exact socks in my Favorite Things post I shared recently. They are thick, high quality, and made by an ethical brand.

LOOK TWO: Paired With A Sweatshirt And Chelsea Boots

Shacket // Sweatshirt (old from Old Navy; similar) // White Denim (I sized down 2 sizes) // Boots (similar) // Beanie // Sunglasses // Bag // Belt

Another idea is to pair your shacket with a sweatshirt and chelsea boots. You could even wear a graphic sweatshirt here, too. Here are some elements of this outfit that make it work: First, pairing straight leg denim with your chelsea boots (instead of skinnies) is best as the bottom hem falls nicely over the boot rather than scrunching up around the top of the shoe. Second, the contrasting black and white color palette is really trending and a cool way to combine classic pieces you probably already own to make them look more modern. Third, adding some accessories like sunglasses, a beanie, and a belt give the outfit a lot more interest than without them.

LOOK THREE: With A Sweater And Lace Up Boots

Shacket // Crewneck Sweater // Denim (exact wash is old; similar linked) // Boots // Sunglasses // Bag (exact color sold out; similar in same color)

Here’s a look to wear for any outdoor activities you have this winter. Layering your shacket over a warm sweater will keep you nice and warm and adding an all weather boot like these Amalia Boots from Nisolo makes the outfit more functional for outdoor activities. You could change up the weight of your sweater based on your climate or wear a turtleneck sweater for even more warmth.

LOOK FOUR: Paired With A Turtleneck And Heeled Ankle Boots

Shacket // Turtleneck // Denim (I sized down) // Ankle Boots (sold out in black; similar) // Bag

Pairing your shacket with a turtleneck and heeled ankle boots will dress it up a bit more. You could even switch out the denim for a more casual black pant (I love this pair!) to wear this to a casual workplace. If you’re wearing black boots, be sure to add a black element on top to ‘sandwich’ the look and make it more cohesive. Here I’ve added a black belt and black bag.
