In my quest to add a little variety to my wardrobe, I’ve been shopping around for bottoms that aren’t jeans. I know that many of you are looking for professional, but comfortable workwear options as well. Everlane is my go-to for minimalist, quality, workwear inspired pieces, and I stumbled upon this pair of black pants called The Dream Pant. After wearing them a few times this fall, I have to say, they are really good. In this post, I’m sharing an Everlane Dream Pant review, including fit, sizing, material, and my overall impressions.
This review is not sponsored, and I bought these pants with my own money. However, I have worked with Everlane in the past as a brand partner. I really do love the quality and design of their clothes, and own many pieces from the brand, most of which I’ve bought.

Fit
The Everlane Dream Pant is a good option for those of you who want a modern, slim cut black pant. They are fitted through the hips, have a relaxed fit through the thighs, and a tapered leg. The rise isn’t listed on the website, but it does have a high rise. My best estimate is between 10 and 11 inches. The waist is elastic and stretchy, but the waistband and pleats still give these a polished look. These pants also have pockets, but no button or zipper. Everlane markets these as sweatpants for the office, and I would totally agree with that description.
A note that they do have a seam running down the front of each pant leg which doesn’t bother me, but I could see someone not liking that detail.

Sizing
I’m typically an XS, but in Everlane bottoms I usually size down. The XXS fits perfect on me, but I will say I read through tons of reviews, and many people found that their true size works best. My recommendation would be to size down if you are in between sizes, otherwise stay true to size.
Regarding the length of these pants, at 5’3″ these fit ankle length on me. Ideally, I’d like them to be about an inch shorter, but I’m not sure if I’ll take the time to have them hemmed. Some of the reviews mention these pants fit pretty short if you’re on the taller side so be aware of that.

Material
This is where these pants really shine. The material is a thick sweatpant type of material (58% cotton, 38% Modal, and 4% Elastane if you want the actual composition.) They are so comfortable and easy to move around in. The material is also wrinkle resistant, and believe me, I tested this by having a terrible habit of squishing my clothes into the shelves of my closet. Still, not a wrinkle to be found.

Overall Impressions
As someone who hates fussy clothes, I highly recommend these pants. I’m a work from home mom who has to switch from work mode to mom mode often and need clothes that work for both lifestyles. These definitely fit the bill.
These pants would also work nicely for someone who has an active job, but still needs to look professional, like a teacher. And since they work well for home and the office, anyone working a hybrid schedule would find these pants very versatile.
