Now that the weather officially feels ‘springlike,’ I’m ready to start dressing like it! Here is my official early spring capsule wardrobe for 2025. This year, I decided to do two spring capsules – one for early spring and one for late spring. As much as I want to start wearing shorts and dresses, for the next month or so, it’s just not in the cards, weather-wise. I’ll use this capsule for the next few weeks, and then I’ll share my late spring capsule in about a month with more shorts and dresses. I actually find doing. monthly capsules like this much more enjoyable than doing seasonal capsules. I often start feeling the urge to change things up after a few weeks, and I dislike being beholden to a capsule for too long.
In this post, I’m sharing my early spring capsule including tops, bottoms, outerwear, shoes, and accessories plus tons of outfits ideas using the pieces from the capsule (I believe there are 24 in total!!) I’ll be using this capsule to create real life outfits which I’ll be sharing daily on Instagram, and which I’ll likely recap here on the blog as well (Along with my regular weekly outfit roundups on Substack; do you follow me there? You should!)
My vibe for this capsule is very minimal and classic with a few trendy pieces thrown in. In past spring capsules, I’ve tried to force a floral top or ruffles into there, but as I’ve started to really understand my style (which is so NOT feminine in the ruffly/floral sort of way) I’ve learned I just don’t feel like myself in those styles. The colors are very neutral with actually no prints besides my python print flats (I might miss my stripes though!) I’ve also included a good selection of outerwear because, while I enjoy wearing just a plain tee and jeans, we’ll be in jacket weather until June here in Seattle.
Let’s get into the capsule!
Early Spring Capsule Wardrobe
Spring Capsule Tops

White Long Sleeve Tee // This is a new tee from Leset I picked up recently from the Shopbop sale. It’s QUITE pricey for a tee, but considering how much I plan to wear it, I’ll definitely get my money’s worth. Here’s a more affordable option.
Gray Sweatshirt // For casual days, I plan to wear this cozy gray sweatshirt. I’ll probably end up layering it over a tee so I can remove it when the weather warms up in the afternoons. This one fits pretty oversized but I sized up one for a big cozy fit.
Black Tee // A must-have layering piece for spring and fall, I will wear this a ton. This one is from my partnership with Mint Velvet, and I love the thicker weight and the longer sleeve on it. I also own and recommend these tees from Sézane and these tees from Everlane.
White Button Up Shirt // I particularly like button up shirts with an oversized fit these days which I usually wear untucked for an easy and effortless look. Mine is from Sézane, and it’s really great quality. It’s so versatile and goes with all the bottoms and shoes in my capsule. I also like these ones from Gap.
Gray Cotton Sweater // Cotton sweaters are one of my most worn pieces in the spring. I wear them on the body, over the shoulders, or tied around the waist. See the navy sweater below for a more affordable option. It fits true to size.
Brown Linen Button Up Shirt // I wore this shirt SO much last spring. Mine is from J.Crew but sold out so I’m linking this almost identical option from the Gap. This color goes with whites, black, cream, and blue denim (so basically everything in my capsule!)
Navy Cotton Sweater // This sweater was gifted as part of a recent partnership with Quince (along with the linen pants below) and the fit, the price, and the quality is spot on. I took my true size, and it has a relaxed fit.
Gray Polo Sweater // This gray polo shirt is a lightweight merino wool (not itchy) and has a slim but not too tight fit. It’s going to pair so well with my jeans, silk and linen pants, as well as my black trousers for days I want to feel a little more professional.
Spring Capsule Outerwear

Leather Jacket // For chilly spring mornings and evenings, this leather jacket is the heaviest outerwear piece in my spring capsule. It gives cool girl vibes for sure and is also really affordable as far as leather jackets go. I did a whole post styling it here.
Suede Jacket // A suede jacket adds so much texture and interest to a basic outfit. Mine is more of a warm camel color that pairs so well with navy and white. I also did a post styling this jacket as well. I recommend sizing up if you’re in between sizes. It runs small in the shoulders and arms.
Beige Blazer // This sandy colored blazer is just a spring staple. This could be styled with jeans, trousers, and linen pants. I have my true size, and it has a relaxed fit.
Tan Anorak Jacket // This tan jacket feels a bit like a trench and has this perfectly oversized fit. It also has a removable hood for rainy days.
Green Trench Coat // A trench coat is a must have for spring in my book. My exact trench is from Everlane but sold out. I’ve linked a similar option above.
Spring Capsule Bottoms

Black Trousers // A capsule wardrobe staple, I’ll probably be styling these more casually with tees and untucked oversized button downs. I took a size up for a more relaxed fit as well as the ‘Short’ length’ which was actually still a bit long on me.
Silk Pants // On my spring wishlist, I finally bit the bullet and purchased this pair from Reformation. I can’t wait to style them this spring. They also come in a petite length for us short girlies! More affordable option here.
Black Barrel Jeans // I’m always recommending these barrel jeans from Everlane because the curve is quite subtle and easy to style. Hopefully your eyes have gotten used to this silhouette because I don’t think this trend is going anywhere.
Light Wash Jeans // I definitely recommend having a pair of light wash jeans in your spring lineup. Mine are from Everlane and have a relaxed, comfortable fit with a full length. I LOVE them!
Dark Wash Jeans // To change things up, I also like having a pair of dark wash jeans in my capsule wardrobe. This pair is actually a baggy style from Everlane. For something more classic, try this pair from Levis.
White Linen Pants // I’m sneaking just a smidge of linen into my spring capsule wardrobe. These white linen pants are from Quince and are lined throughout. I recommend staying true to size or sizing down if you’re in between sizes.
White Maxi Skirt // This is another new item in my wardrobe that I’m including in my spring capsule. I just couldn’t resist this trend! I recommend sizing down in this one; the waist runs large.
Spring Capsule Shoes

Sneakers // I debated which pair of sneakers to include in my early spring capsule, but ultimately I chose my high top Converse. They are really versatile and go with almost all the bottoms in my capsule.
Fisherman Sandals // This is the only pair of sandals I included in my spring capsule. I think this is a great transitional style for early spring because most of your foot stays covered. I also just think they look cool.
Python Print Flats // These animal print flats add a little pattern to my basic outfits. I also love the reddish brown tones in the shoes which go really well with my suede and leather jackets. These have actually been my most worn shoes lately.
Suede Loafers // These are a new purchase but this style was one I’ve been considering for quite some time. I can’t wait to style these!
Mesh Flats // This was also a newer purchase (also on my spring wishlist, I’m just checking things off over here!) These are relatively affordable and also super comfortable right out of the box.
Mary Jane Ballet Flats // I know I have a few ballet flats in my spring capsule wardrobe, but they are definitely my most worn style of shoes in the spring so I’m not worried about. These are a white color that looks chic and cool at the same time.
Spring Capsule Accessories

Watch // Tortoiseshell Sunglasses // Cat Eye Sunglasses // Pendant Necklace // Black Leather Bag // Brown Suede Bag // Gold Knot Earrings // Silver Hoop Earrings // Green Scarf // Black Belt
