For the past month or so, I’ve been slowly adding items to my spring shopping wishlist. I like to start early! Personally, I love love love the process of saving style inspo, making a wishlist, and shopping around for different options. Not only is this part of my job (pinch me!) but having a list is SO helpful in guiding my personal style choices and building a better wardrobe. Many of these purchases align with my wardrobe goals for 2025, mostly around investing in bottoms besides denim and adding more accessories to my wardrobe. In this post, you’ll see how I’m tracking my wishlist this year, what’s on my spring wishlist (including options at different price points) and where to find inspiration for your own wishlist. Let’s get started!
How I’m Tracking My Wishlist

If you read this Substack post, you may have seen that I’m a Notion convert. I’ve been tracking my wardrobe additions and my shopping wishlist in this organizational app (and becoming nerdier by the day.) I had been using a google sheet, but this looks much prettier.
My list includes the specific item I’m shopping for, the priority level, an estimated cost, and store (if I have one in mind.) Note that there are a few items on my spring wishlist that I’ve already purchased but haven’t featured them on the blog yet. Also, some of the items on the bottom of my wishlist skew more towards summer. Those will be items I will wait to purchase till later in the season (i.e. silk shorts, white linen trousers, and white linen shift dress.)
What’s On My Spring Wishlist
Animal Print Flats

Over the past few years, I’ve begun to recognize the impact of a statement shoe. Most of the items in my wardrobe are pretty basic and adding a pop of color or print in my footwear really elevates the overall look. This spring, I’m investing in an animal print flat. I like that these can be worn from spring to summer and even into fall. I actually already purchased the Sézane flats in the brown python in the bottom right here, but they were too big so I’m exchanging them for a smaller size (I ordered the 6 but exchanging for the 5.) Leopard print would also be really nice, especially for those whose wardrobe consists of lots of tans and browns.
White Cotton Pants

This will be the year I invest more in non denim bottoms. A white cotton pant is pretty specific, but I have my reasons. I want these to have more structure than a crepe or linen material. A crepe fabric feels a bit more dressy and linen feels a bit more summery. I want these to be thick enough to wear in spring during moderate temperatures and also to feel more casual for my everyday life. I’ve been eyeing a pair from COS (just haven’t pulled the trigger yet!) I also really love that pair from Apiece Apart, but I’d attempt to find these secondhand due to the high price point.
Silk Pants

As another non denim pant option, I’m looking for a silk pant to wear this spring. I love how they look so chic but are actually as comfortable as pajamas. I plan to pair them with all my knits and woven bags for spring. I’m waffling a bit on the color. I think black pulls a little fancy but a lighter color like champagne or taupe would be more versatile. I’m leaning towards the pair from Reformation which come in a petite option as well.
Black Trousers

Are you seeing a theme here? I told you, it’s all about the pants this year. My closet is severely lacking a great pair of black trousers. Now, I don’t work in an office or need to dress business causal for my job, but I love the look of a sleek black flowy trouser with a minimal sandals and t-shirt for warm weather days, maybe with some chunky jewelry to boot. Plus, these would be something I could dress up with a black blazer and silk top for a dressier evening. The ones I’m leaning towards are this pair from Aritzia, but I’m planning to go to the actual store soon to browse the different fabric options (shopping in store, who me?!) I’m aiming for a pair with a lighter feel so I can also wear them on mild summer days as well.
Mesh Flats

I’m kind of jumping in late to this trend, but that’s the kind of girl I am. The more I got used to seeing this barely there footwear style, the more I liked it (this often happens to me; I’m looking at you barrel leg jeans.) As someone who has very short legs, I’m always looking for shoe options that extend the line of my legs giving the illusion of a taller frame. I also quite like the idea of being able to wear a ballet flat with shorts in the summer. I’m looking for a really simple, really sleek option with an elongated toe and no embellishments. This pair from Vince looks like the best option; although, I’m still debating whether I want to shell out $250 for what is essentially a sandal (it’s still less than the OG pair from The Row!)
Structural Necklace

Confession: I already bought this. I mentioned in my wardrobe goals post that I want to invest more in accessories this year. This wishlist item was majorly inspired by Allison Bornstein (see this reel) who often wears more statement sculptural pendant necklaces in her looks. I think this accessory would really make a big impact when wearing a simple tee and jeans outfit.
Suede Loafers

I’m all about the suede these days. I’m very into adding different textures into my outfits especially when they are very simple – a suede shoe plus a woven bag is my dream accessory duo. I’m looking for a pair in a dark cool toned chocolate brown which would look casual yet polished. The pair from Reformation is my number one right now, but I’m browsing for something a little more affordable. Perhaps, this is another option I could find secondhand.
Brown Belt

I just recently purchased this black belt with chunky silver hardware, and I’m loving the edginess it’s adding to my outfits. I’m looking to add a version in brown to my wardrobe, but I’m still undecided on the tone that would work best. I don’t think all your browns have to match, but I do think matching cool tones with cool tones and warm tones with warm tones creates more cohesion in your look. I’ve got a few options I’m eyeing above.
Knit Tee

If I had to wear an outfit for the rest of my life, I’d happily choose a jeans and tee. It’s my go-to when I don’t know what to wear. With that in mind, one little upgrade to a basic tee is a tee in a knit material. It feels a little more elevated and sophisticated. I think this would pair well with linen pants or shorts (or even the silk pants I have on my wishlist!) My perfect knit tee would be a loose fit crewneck with slightly longer sleeves. I haven’t quite found the perfect one yet (that one from Cos is close but I’d like something in more in a creamy off white.)
Well, that was fun to write! I find that having a shopping wishlist is crucial for making more thoughtful purchases for my wardrobe. Although style is a creative expression of yourself, being a bit analytical with my closet helps me to build a more intentional wardrobe. If you’re unsure of what to add to your spring wishlist, you can check out my spring capsule guides! So far, I’ve put together one for minimal style, sporty chic style, and Parisian chic style.
