I’m very excited to be the one to introduce you to a new brand you probably haven’t heard but definitely need to, especially if you’re into elevated and effortless style. The brand is called Mint Velvet (they are based out of the UK; they have so many cool brands over there!), and they specialize in a style they’ve coined Relaxed Glamour. Sounds nice, right?!
Browsing through their site, you’ll find classic styles with a modern twist – everything from basic tees, to jackets, resort wear, and trendy accessories. I put together this look shown here (styled two ways because that’s how I roll) as well as five more spring looks below with pieces from Mint Velvet.
I know it can be a bit risky to try out a new brand, but let me assure you that the quality is excellent and returns are free.
If you’re in the U.S., let me breakdown the sizing a bit since U.K. sizing tends to differ slightly from American sizing. As is typical of other European brands, Mint Velvet runs slightly small. I do recommend sizing up in their clothing pieces. For shoes, refer to the sizing chart. They only come in whole sizes, but if you’re typically a half size, I recommend sizing down.

I’ve put together this look featuring some linen shorts from Mint Velvet. My personal strategy when building my wardrobe is to look for pieces that can be styled multiple ways, and all the pieces in this outfit meet the brief.
Let’s breakdown this look:
Gray Cotton Blend Cardigan // This sweet little cardigan has ribbed details along the cuffs and hem, and the buttons down the front give it styling flexibility. I love wearing my cardigans with a few buttons undone at the top and bottom, but you could also tuck this for a more Parisian inspired look. For spring you could also style this cardigan around the shoulders or tied at the waist.
Black Ultimate Cotton T-Shirt // If you’re looking for a quality heavy weight t-shirt that looks just as good on it’s own as it does layered under your spring jackets, stop scrolling. Another selling point is the slightly longer sleeve length which makes this a bit more dressy than your average tee.
White Linen Blend Tailored Shorts // I’m embracing the longer hemlines of the moment in this look. These linen blend shorts are the definition of chic and can be styled so many ways. I see them with a poplin button down and minimal sandals for a relaxed summer look. I recommend sizing up.
Codi Zebra Print Textured Flat Pumps // I feel like the photos aren’t doing these shoes justice. The zebra print is a bit trendy but polished and really makes a statement in a neutral look like this. The almond shaped toe box is also much more elongating than a rounded toe. I recommend sizing down in these.
Black Leather Woven Bag // We love a woven bag. This 100% leather bag gives some added texture to more basic warm weather looks.
