One of the big fall trends for 2024 is Western inspired style. You’ll see it in everything from cowboy boots to fringe, suede accessories, stud accents, barn jackets, and denim everything. In this post, I’m showing you three simple western inspired outfits. These outfits give a hint of western without being full on country.
Tips For Styling Western Inspired Outfits
- Keep it simple and chic. I prefer a western inspired outfit that is a nod to the trend without going over the top. If I’m wearing something western inspired like a barn jacket, I keep the other pieces in my outfit more classic.
- Play with accessories. Simple details like adding a suede bag or a belt with studs are easy ways to style this trend without looking like your heading to a country concert. (If that’s the case, by all means, go all out!)
- Mix textures. Material is important when it comes to Western inspired outfits. Try mixing denim with leather or cotton with suede.
- Cowboy boots aren’t necessary. They look so cute on many people, but cowboy boots just don’t fit my personal style so I choose to pass on this particular Western inspired piece.

Three Western Inspired Outfits
Look One
The first Western inspired look pairs a flouncy silk top with utility style barrel jeans and suede boots. This combination is elevated but casual. I love this classic feminine blouse paired with a more trendy style of jeans.
This henley style silk shirt is made from a washable silk with a modern and sleek button placket, balloon sleeves, and cuffs. It fits relaxed and loose at true size. I’ve paired this silk top with a pair of barrel jeans in a medium wash. I love the utility style with accent stitching on the legs and large patch pockets in the back.

Look Two
Look two is a bit more classic. I’ve paired this striped oversized button down with a pair of slim cut straight leg jeans, and the same suede boots. The suede details in the accessories elevate this look and give it a western vibe. This button down fits very oversized so consider sizing down if you’re hoping for a closer fit. I particularly love how this button down has side slits giving it movement and flow – perfect for wearing untucked.

Look Three
My last Western inspired look features the ever popular barn jacket, full length jeans in dark indigo, and a simple chocolate brown tee. This barn jacket is great quality made from a thick cotton canvas, and features a corduroy collar and cuffs and large pockets in the front. I’ve layered it with this classic crewneck box cut tee in this beautiful chocolate brown color.
These dark blue jeans with gold stitching add to the western vibe. This pair has a mid-rise, wide leg, and full length. They are made from 98% cotton with 2% elastane so they have a bit of stretch for comfort. I’ll definitely be wearing all three of these pieces many times this fall.
