One way to make getting dressed super easy is to start with an outfit base and then mix it up with different layers and accessories to create tons of outfits. My most worn outfit base is far and away a white tee and jeans. For this post, I wanted to show you how easy it is to style a white tee and jeans for spring and into early summer. I’ve got ten looks here featuring these simple basics. Come back to this post when you don’t know what to wear!
Scroll to the bottom for a short list of my favorite white tees.
Ten Outfits With A White Tee & Jeans
Baseball Cap & Flip Flops

This spring to summer look is just ready for a weekend day in the sun, don’t ya think? The baseball cap is cute yet functional, the flip flops are easy to kick off for a picnic, and the tote bag is there for all the water bottles and snacks (perhaps a little charcuterie?)
Sweater Vest & Loafers

Here’s a look for casual Friday at the office. It’s polished and chic but the belt adds a little edge. I’d wear this for any old day working from home.
Trench Coat & Sneakers

This is a look I wear on repeat for spring. This works with any trench and sneaker combination you own; although, I really love a bright sneaker here for a pop of color. This would work for a rainy day (pack an umbrella) to one of those warm days that starts off chilly and ends up in the 80s.
Blazer & Slingback Flats

A blazer combined with a white tee and jeans is a look that never goes out of style. I’ve been wearing this for years, and I ALWAYS feel so put together in it. I’d wear this for a day working from home or at the coffee shop. I added a scarf to really up the chic factor (I just bought this exact one!) but a nice necklace would also work as an accessory.
Denim Shirt & Jellies

Here’s your cool mom look. A denim shirt is the casual chic top that can be styled so many ways. I thought these bright red jellies were the fun shoe this outfit needed but you could swap with whatever flats you like. (Side note – should I get a pair of jellies? how cuuute are these?) I added that big ol’ tote bag for functionality and some silver hoops to complete the look.
Sweater Over the Shoulders & Loafers

You’ve probably seen me in this outfit a dozen times! It’s simple, elevated, and chic. I love the combination of navy, chocolate brown, and white here, but you could swap for any color combination you prefer. A big plus of this look is that you can wear the sweater if it’s chilly and then put it over your shoulders or tied around the waist when the weather warms up.
Button Down Shirt & Sandals

For this look, I would wear the shirt unbuttoned for a more laid back vibe. It’s very coastal chic and easy breezy. This is right up my alley!
Statement Necklace & Flip Flops

Wear this look for a casual day when you need something simple. The accessories are what make this outfit shine. A statement necklace like this (I have and love this one!) is an easy way to take a plain outfit up a notch.
Cropped Jacket & Mary Janes

If you need a look that’s slightly more dressy, try this outfit with a cropped jacket and mary janes. The cropped jacket is giving polished and chic while the mary janes add some softness and femininity. A great woven bag adds a bit of texture, too.
Sweatshirt & Ballet Flats

Excuse me while I put on this outfit RIGHT NOW. My go-to casual look is almost always a sweatshirt and jeans, but I like to elevate it with some cool accessories like mesh flats and a textured sling bag. You could also take off the sweatshirt and tie it around your waist or over the shoulders when the temperature rises in the afternoons.
The Best White Tees
Here’s a short list of the best white tees I’ve found:
The Everlane Box Cut Tee // Boxy, slightly cropped fit. Not see through with a nude bra. I size up two sizes in these for a looser fit (they shrink a bit in the wash.)
The Sézane Conrad Tee // These tees also have a slightly boxy fit. They have a little more drape than the Everlane ones and they are slightly thinner as well. I size up one in these.
Mint Velvet White Cotton Ultimate T-Shirt // I actually own this in black but wanted to list them here because they are more heavy weight and work really well for work or the office where you need something a bit more sturdy. They also have a longer sleeve length that gives a more dressy feel. I size up one in these. ASH10 for 10% off.
The COS Clean Cut Regular T-Shirt // I don’t own this one but plan to purchase it when I need another white tee. It gets RAVE reviews.
