Most of the year, I typically stick to neutrals – black, white, and shades of beige and brown; however, when summertime rolls around I often find myself gravitating towards red. Red feels summery, bright, and a little patriotic, too perhaps. In my summer wishlist, I included red tops as one of my items, and since then I’ve found two red tops to add to my wardrobe this season. In this post, I’m rounding up a few red tops for summer, including two pictured here that I recently purchased.

Red Tanks For Summer
I’m featuring two red tanks in this post that I recently purchased. Both are from Madewell and under $80. Both of these tanks would work well for your Fourth Of July celebrations as well. I would switch out jeans for a pair of linen shorts meant for warm weather. I’ve also linked a few other red tank options at the bottom of this post.

OUTFIT ONE
This top is made from 100% linen and is a bold red color. My favorite feature and the reason I was so drawn to it, is the adorable tie in the back which shows off a little skin. It’s meant to be worn untucked and has small slits on the sides which give it some flow. The length falls to my hips, and it’s not cropped at all. It fits true to size; I’m wearing the XS here.

I styled this little linen tank with my favorite pair of Levi’s, ivory kitten heels, and a mocha colored woven tote bag. This would also look nice with white linen pants or maxi skirt. It would also easily elevate a pair of high waisted denim shorts and flats.

OUTFIT TWO
This second red tank from the same brand has a cute floral print and is made of a crepe material that gives it a blousy fit. It has a v-neckline that isn’t too low cut. I’m wearing my Nippies with this top which I wear typically everyday in the summer.

It has thin straps that are adjustable, and the length is quite long so I prefer it tucked. This tank also fits true to size. I styled this top with white jeans, a pair of simple sandals, and a canvas tote bag for a casual but feminine summer outfit. When the weather warms up, I’ll be switching the jeans for white linen shorts or denim shorts. This tank would also look cute with a pair of slim white sneakers.
