With Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought I would share some minimal Valentine’s Day outfits you could put together. I’m not one for pink, and I rarely wear red so these outfit ideas are just my favorite neutrals. I pulled these together using pieces that I already own.
One of my tips for keeping your wardrobe small but still having pieces that are fancy enough for date night is to have versatile pieces that you can style in different ways. For example, unbuttoning a few buttons or going without an under layer that you’d normally wear (see the cardigan below.) Showing some skin gives the look some sexiness that makes it fun for a date night.
Minimal Valentine’s Day Outfits
Sexy Cardigan + Slip Skirt + Pumps

Cardigan (similar) // Slip Skirt (I went down a size, but stay TTS if you’re curvy) // Pumps // Vintage Clutch (similar) // Necklace (code ASHLEYROHR10) // Earrings
For this look, I’ve taken some capsule wardrobe staples like a slip skirt and cardigan and turned them into a date night look. Usually, I would wear a black tank under this cardigan for daytime, but here I’ve gone without it. You could even unbutton some of the bottom buttons and wear it untucked. (I attempted that look, but my midsection was ghostly white and a totally different shade then the rest of my body so I decided against it, lol.)
You could also wear a normal v-neck sweater with a slip skirt or even a silk cami or sweater tank if the weather is mild where you live.

Silk Button Down + Faux Leather Pants + Strappy Sandals

Silk Button Down // Faux Leather Pants (similar) // Strappy Sandals // Necklace (ASHLEYROHR10) // Bag (old from Zara; similar) // Belt (old from Mango; similar) // Earrings
The base of this outfit could be appropriate for work, but by unbuttoning a few buttons and adding some strappy heels, you’ve transformed this look for date night. I didn’t just for these photos, but if I were actually wearing this out, I would add some fashion tape near the bust so I wasn’t worrying about it all night.

Lace Bodysuit + Blazer + Denim + Slingback Flats

Lace Bodysuit (old from Zara, similar; similar) // Blazer (old from Old Navy; similar; similar) // Denim // Slingback Flats (similar) // Vintage Clutch (similar) // Earrings
For this last look, I’ve taken a very sexy lace bodysuit and made it more modest by throwing a blazer over top. If you were going to Vegas, you could totally wear it by itself, though, lol! I’ve been really loving the exposed undergarment trend, but I wanted to interpret that look for my own lifestyle. For undergarments, I’ve worn my Nippies and find everything is appropriately covered. Your choice of undergarments would obviously depend on the bodysuit.
I also think the flats makes this outfit more dialed down and more appropriate for where I live, but you could also do heels with this, too. Some other options for a similar look would be a lace bralette, lace top, or a cropped tank underneath a blazer.
