Top // Bottoms // Sneakers
If you saw my post yesterday, you know that I picked up this matching sweatsuit set from the Free Assembly line at Walmart. I already own a pair of petite-friendly joggers, but I wanted to find an actual matching set that I could wear as a comfy travel outfit for an upcoming trip. This one is so good. The length is longer than my other pair (petite girls beware!), but it does have more of that trendy baggy look going on. Let’s go with it! In this post, I’m showing you a few ways to style a sweatsuit set like this. It’s super versatile and also really affordable at $46 for the set.
The best thing about a set like this is you can style the pieces together or as separates. I kept the same shoes for all these looks because I thought sneakers were the most appropriate option for this. You can try different types of sneakers, but I like how these slim white sneakers make the look a little less juvenile.
I talked about the length of this set, but in regards to other sizing details, it fits true to size. You could go up a size in the top if you’d like it to fit more oversized. Another side note – the bottoms are slightly sheer, but I found that with nude undergarments it’s not a problem. It also comes in a ton of other colors if you’re into that. I like the black and sage green options!
How To Style A Matching Set
Top and Bottoms Together

As I mentioned, you can style this set by itself for a modern, trendy look. Try adding a long layer like a camel coat, trench coat, or even a long cardigan or sweater coat. As you can see, I love the streamlined look of a longer layer over this matching set. It makes for an elevated tonal look. See more about styling a tonal look here.

Here are some other outfit options using just the bottoms. You can style these simply with a ribbed long sleeved tee or a graphic tee. You can also add more layering options like a utility jacket or jean jacket. The options are really endless here. This graphic tee is out of stock right now (it appears to be backordered!), but I linked a similar option above. This exact jean jacket is old from Old Navy, but I linked a current version.

And lastly, here are some outfit ideas using just the sweatshirt. I styled mine with my favorite black denim (size down!), and added on a few of my favorite spring layering options, like a leather jacket and tan shacket.
