Last week, I shared my fall capsule wardrobe plus tons of outfit ideas, and for the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing real life outfits using pieces from the capsule. In the first week of a capsule wardrobe, everything is new and fresh, but the weeks to follow will be all about mixing and matching. That’s when you can really see the benefits and versatility of a well thought out capsule wardrobe.
It’s also still pretty early in the fall season so I didn’t need to add much outerwear to these looks. As the weather cools down, I’ll be bringing out the layers. To shop all of these looks, see the button below the picture where the outfit is linked in my LTK shop. You’ll also find sizing information there as well. You can find links to all the accessories I’m wearing with the capsule in this post.
Fall Capsule Wardrobe: Week One Outfits
Monday: Cotton Sweater + Maxi Skirt + Sambas

Kicking off my capsule wardrobe with a look I was so excited to put together. I’m usually not one for skirts and dresses, preferring. my trusty jeans, but this was a welcome change. It was honestly so comfortable and easy to wear.

Tuesday: White Tee + Denim Jacket + Barrel Jeans + Mary Janes

This denim on denim look felt very on brand for me. I’m definitely leaning into darker wash denim this fall, and I love the pop of red in the shoes. You could definitely adjust this outfit for colder weather by wearing a sweater underneath and swapping the Mary Janes for boots.

Wednesday: Button Down + Leopard Mini Skirt + Ballet Flats

This leopard mini skirt was one of the more trendy items I included in my fall capsule wardrobe. I have so many ideas for styling it, but this look with a matching oversized button down was the first to come to mind. I left the bottom couple buttons undone to make the shirt look a bit more flowy, and paired it with these woven ballet flats which add texture.

Thursday: White Blouse + Barn Jacket + Black Jeans + Loafers

I love the pairing of a feminine blouse with more masculine pieces like this barn jacket. It’s a bit unexpected and interesting. I paired them with my favorite black jeans of the moment (these have patch pockets in the front!) and some loafers with socks. I was hesitant to try the sock trend, but I’m kind of loving how practical it is; so long cold feet!

Friday: Lady Jacket + Wide Leg Jeans + Black Boots

For Friday, I went with a chic Parisian inspired look that included my new lady jacket, some wide leg jeans, and my favorite black boots. This look is very elegant and timeless.

Saturday: Fitted Sweater + Overalls + Ballet Flats

Why has no one told me how comfortable loose overalls are? This look felt perfect for a casual Saturday. Truth be told, we had early soccer games, and I didn’t end up actually getting dressed till about 3pm. I loved the color combination of black and brown tones here and also the mix of textures in the bag and shoes.

Sunday: Red Sweatshirt + Barrel Jeans + Sambas

You’ll probably be seeing a version of this outfit every Sunday for the next few weeks as the red sweatshirt doubles as my Chiefs shirt for football Sunday. The comfy and sporty Sambas and cool hands-free bag just make for an easy Sunday outfit, too.
