I know the old rules of when you can wear white have been properly tossed out the window, but I think white jeans really shine in the spring and summer months. They just feel lighter and pair really well with the brighter and more vibrant colors many people wear in the warmer months. For this post (and for my own style inspiration!) I put together several outfits with white jeans for spring and summer.
The white jeans I own are actually more of an off-white color which I find much easier to style than stark white which can be a bit see-through. I also prefer them to be on the looser side of the spectrum with a wide or straight leg silhouette as it tends to highlight every lump and bump. I own a few pairs, but my favorite right now is this pair from Sézane which I included in my early summer capsule wardrobe. I size up in these (and all Sézane bottoms.) They currently have limited stock but sign up for the email alert because they are often restocking them. I also own and recommend this pair from Everlane.
If you live somewhere where jeans are off the table for the next few months, rest assured that all these looks would work with a pair of white denim shorts, too. This is the pair I’m always recommending.

With A Striped Button Down

Stripes in the form of an oversized, breezy shirt feel very coastal chic, and that is the summer aesthetic I’m going for this year. Wear it tucked or tucked (I’m usually an untucked kind of girl these days) and undo a few buttons at the top and bottom to make it feel more effortless. I’ve linked one from Alex Mill, but I also love this lightweight one from Gap and these ones from Everlane are really nice quality, too.

With A White Tee & Suede Accessories

Suede was a huge trend this year, and it’s even extending into summer with suede accessories. These sandals from Everlane are on my summer wishlist. I just love the texture they add to a basic summer fit without adding any bulk. The rest of the look includes big suede bag (don’t be afraid to take your winter bags into summer!), a basic white tee, a pendant necklace (love they way this looks with a simple tee or tank), and some cool sunnies.

With A Waistcoat

For a dressier option, try pairing your white jeans with a waistcoat. This is another look that is quite on trend. I recently added this one to my summer wardrobe, but this one looks really similar and is fully stocked. I’ve linked one below from Madewell and here’s another more affordable option from Banana Republic Factory. I paired this look with some mesh flats which I think look super cute, but any pair of black flats or black sandals would work.

With A Colorful Tee

If you’re a bit color averse like me, but want to play around with color in the warmer months, pairing it with white is a great option. As opposed to black, it doesn’t pop quite as much. For summer, I always love adding some red to my wardrobe, but you could also try butter yellow, sky blue, or powder pink.

With A Sweater Tee

For a look that’s simple yet elevated, try white jeans (or white shorts) with a sweater tee. I know many people dislike that summer dressing always seems so casual and simple, but a sweater tank or tee is a great swap that makes the overall look feel more dressy and put together. I paired this with some simple leather flip flops, a sling bag (usually my bag of choice in the summer months), and some statement earrings.

With A White Blouse

My summer wardrobe is not complete without a cute white blouse. I kept the base look monochromatic but added some chocolate brown accessories for contrast. I LOVE this one! For more white blouse options, Dôen always has beautiful ones, and this one from Gap (a Dôen collab!) is a more affordable option.

With A Linen Top

I recommend having a few linen tops in your summer wardrobe. The fabric is lightweight and breathable making it perfect for hot weather. I love the cropped style of this one which means you don’t have to tuck it in and have extra bulk around the waist to make you sweaty (iykyk.) The contrasting black and white of this look is also really nice, too.

With A Tee & Sneakers

For this last look, I wanted something that was very mom-friendly so you could wear this at the park with your kids. A t-shirt and sneakers can be very basic, but if you style it by adding some statement jewelry and a textured bag, the look feels more elevated. Side note – I’ve linked these Aloha sneakers so much, I added them to my summer wishlist!
