My blazer obsession continues this fall. My classic black blazer is such an easy piece for throwing on and looking put together. In this post, I’m giving you five denim and black blazer outfits ideas.
My exact blazer is from Old Navy and no longer available, but I’m linking several other options at various price points at the bottom of this post. I usually opt for blazers that have a boyfriend fit (meaning a looser fit) and a little drape. I prefer them to have a little less structure which makes the blazer seem more casual and less corporate looking.
I’ve styled this black blazer with denim five different ways to show you how versatile this combo can be. These looks range from dressy for a night out or casual for a day of running around with the kids. If you’re thinking about starting a capsule wardrobe, the black blazer is one piece I would definitely include.
Denim and Black Blazer Outfit Ideas For Fall
LOOK ONE
Blazer (sold out, similar options linked below) // Graphic Tee // Denim (similar) // Mules (limited stock, similar) // Sunglasses
This black and white outfit gives off such cool vibes. The casual graphic tee plus drapey blazer and white mules is comfortable, but elevated. This look feels very me.
LOOK TWO
Tee (c/o Mott and Bow) // Blazer (sold out, similar options linked below) // Boyfriend Jeans (c/o Mott and Bow) // Boots (limited stock, similar) // Belt Bag
This look is my favorite of the bunch. I wore this black blazer with these black boots last week (see this post), and I just loved the combo. These mid-rise boyfriend jeans are from Mott and Bow, and I’m loving them right now. I recommend sizing down one. I’m sharing more about this brand in an upcoming post! To complete this look, I added my olive green belt bag from Everlane.
LOOK THREE
Blazer (sold out, similar options linked below) // Striped Top // Denim // Sneakers (similar)
This classic look works really well as a casual blazer option for both fall and spring. I sized down one in these jeans, but you can stick to your true size if you want a looser fit.
LOOK FOUR
Black Blazer (sold out, similar options linked below) // Floral Top // Denim (c/o Mott and Bow) // Black Pumps // Clutch (vintage)
Here is a date night look for you. I first shared this top in my fall date night inspiration post, and I can’t recommend it enough. It fits TIGHT in the bodice (like a bodysuit) so size up if you want a looser fit.
LOOK FIVE
Black Blazer (sold out, similar options linked below) // Cashmere Sweater (c/o Mott and Bow) // Denim // Boots // Scarf (similar, similar)
Every time I wear this scarf, I feel like a French girl! It’s from a local Kansas City shop called EB&Co. In this look I combined a cream colored cashmere sweater, black blazer, straight leg jeans, and cognac ankle boots to make a chic everyday look.
If you don’t have a black blazer in your wardrobe yet, I’ve linked a few options below. If you’re looking for more outfit ideas for fall outerwear, check out this post where I shared four shacket outfit ideas.
