Danny and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary with a date night in downtown Kansas City this weekend. It was so nice to get out without the kids; it’s been far too long. We got a little dressed up for the occasion, and in this post, I’m sharing this fall date night outfit.
The star of this date night look is the top. It has a beautifully cut sweetheart neckline and puff sleeves. The bodice of the top fits like a glove, almost like a bodysuit. The top is cropped but is just right for tucking into some high waisted pants.
I have my true size in the top, but beware that it does fit tight through the abdomen so size up if needed. I love that this top has a very Reformation style look but costs about one-third of the price. It comes in a few other colors, too.
The jeans are the Curve Love 90’s Ultra High Rise Straight Jeans in the Dark Wash. I have the short length, but probably could have gone with the extra short length if it was available. They are a full length straight leg denim with a tiny bit of stretch and fit tight at your natural waist with some room in the butt and thighs. I ordered my true size.
I’ve been wanting to add a true straight leg to my jean collection, and these jeans are definitely winners in my book. They are so flattering and also are a really great price point for the quality.
I’m also wearing my go-to black pumps. They are an affordable option from Target that do the job. I only wear pumps maybe three times per year so I’m not willing to invest much in them. They fit true to size.
For accessories, I have my vintage black clutch (it was my Grandma’s!), chunky huggie hoop earrings, and a simple gold bangle (similar). I also painted my nails for the occasion using my Olive and June Mani Kit.
There is some fall date night inspiration for you! Danny and I are really hoping to find a regular babysitter so we can do monthly date nights. This mom and dad need more adult time!
