Welcome to the Weekly Edit! In this weekly blog post, I share a life update and my daily outfits, plus links from the week.
It’s the weekend! I hope you’re having a good one. This week started off a bit rough with four days straight of rain and cloudy weather, but by Friday the weather turned and we are looking at a sunshine filled weekend. My soul is happy.
On Thursday, I dropped off the kids with my parents and drove in to the city to get my hair done. It’s been a good 9 months since I’ve visited a salon, and it was so nice. My stylist Alex did an amazing job lightening my hair up a bit for the spring and summer. If you’re local and looking for a stylist, I can pass on her info.
I was also able to get my first dose of the COVID vaccine this week which is exciting. A lot of my friends and family have been able to get vaccinated, and it is making me happy and hopeful. I’m looking forward to many more family dinners and get togethers with friends.
On Friday, I finished up the Savage Sweat Challenge hosted by City Shape, a local Kansas City company that provides online fitness classes from local instructors. I loved it! I’m planning on continuing using the platform for my workouts. I particularly loved the variety of classes offered, everything from yoga to HIIT to strength.

This week on the blog, I shared three new posts. I found the perfect midi dress for spring, and I styled it six different ways in this post. I also shared our spring bucket list with a few adventures I’m planning for the season. And lastly, for you stay-at-home moms, I created a list of self care ideas you may want to consider.

We made this Skinnytaste recipe for shawarma spiced grilled chicken one night this week, and it was delicious. We served ours with mini pitas, lettuce, and cucumber.
This new kid’s show with Michelle Obama was just released on Netflix. It’s super cute. Check it out if you have young kids!
Built Bar just released a new flavor called Raspberry Cheesecake, and I ordered a box this week which I’m excited to try. It will probably sell out soon so move fast if you’re interested.
I loved this blog post with French Aesthetic Outfits by Wit and Whimsy.
I just can’t stop with the white tops. I saw this one when I was browsing Target on Friday, and it definitely came home with me. Oops.
For all you Kansas residents, the governor just announced the COVID vaccine will officially be released to everyone starting Monday. Yay!
I’m telling myself I’m not shopping this Madewell sale, but if I were I would be buying this adorable white peplum blouse, this beautiful ruffle tank, or this striped tee (can you have too many striped tees?) I also own this shirt in black and green and love the drapey fit. I also recommend these white mules. They really elevate my everyday outfits.
Taylor Swift just dropped a new song called You All Over Me. I really like it!
As someone who can’t keep any plants alive, I was happy to find this post with faux plant options for my home.
I ordered this adorable rainbow dress for Ellie after seeing it on Instagram. She absolutely loves it. It’s more than I usually spend on kid’s clothes, but the quality is so good. They are having BOGO 50% sale right now.
