You know it’s spring when I can’t stop sharing photos of cherry blossoms on Instagram stories. It’s just been a beautiful sight to see Seattle start blooming again. It was a busy week on the blog as I shared my spring capsule wardrobe. I get so excited to start a new capsule, and I hope it’s helpful to you as you are planning your spring wardrobe and putting together outfits.
In other news, I met with my GI doctor, and we have decided to start a new medication for my Crohn’s disease. Through testing, we have determined that I have a stricture (a narrowing) in my small intestines due to scar tissue related to inflammation. The narrowing is so much, the doctor was unable to pass the scope through during my colonoscopy. This was causing episodes of severe cramping and vomiting over the past year (although this has drastically improved with a low fiber diet.) The medication is called Entyvio, and it is administered via infusion every eight weeks. I’m not one to take medications lightly and weighed this decision over and over in my head. I’ve decided the risks of not taking the medication (possible intestinal obstruction and surgery) outweigh the risks of taking it. I feel privileged to have this medication available for my disease (the cause of which is unknown.) Thank you for all the supportive comments and kind words.

FOOD
Last week, I tested out this meal planning service, and I really enjoyed it. I’m not going to continue it, however, because I like to pick out my meals based on what I’m craving that week. On the meal plan, I made greek pork pitas, carnitas tacos, and creamy chicken soup.
I also made another batch of banana bread using this recipe, and it was gone within the hour (my family loves baked goods.)
This weekend, I felt motivated to make a healthy lunch so I prepped this superfood salad that has salmon, sweet potatoes, avocado, and feta. It was delicious.
ENTERTAINMENT
Danny and I started watching One Day on Netflix, and it’s so adorable. The storyline follows two young people who have a fling in college, and see each other on and off throughout the next several years. I’m really enjoying it!
And if you’re looking for recommendations for family movie night, we watched Chupa on Netflix, and it was super cute.
NOTEWORTHY NEWS
We finally purchased a patio set (this was years in the making!). Thanks to your recommendations, we went with this set which requires zero maintenance and upkeep. We also ordered a couple of these chairs to have by our fire pit.

Loved the modern take on classic pieces in H&M’s new arrivals. Some things that caught my eye: this linen trench, this knit tank, and this oversized bomber jacket.
