When thinking about Thanksgiving outfit ideas for 2022, I knew I wanted them to be cute, but also comfortable enough to wear all day. I know some people want to be more casual on this day of relaxation, but I like to get a little dressed up. My regular life is more casual so I like to change it up for holidays!
As far as a color palette for Thanksgiving, I prefer wearing earth tones and neutrals which honestly doesn’t differ from my normal everyday wardrobe. I’ve included some colors like rich brown and olive. I also included sizing information with each item, but I am more than happy to answer any specific questions you have about sizing, fit, etc. Leave a comment or message me on Instagram!
Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas For 2022
Bodysuit + Long Cardigan + Wide Leg Jeans + Ankle Boots

Bodysuit (size up if in between sizes) // Cardigan (from Target, but not available online yet, similar, similar) // Denim (I went down 2 sizes) // Boots // Bag // Necklace
The sleekness of a bodysuit combined with a big drapey cardigan is such a good combo. I absolutely love the color of this bodysuit. It’s a rich reddish brown that is just perfect for Thanksgiving. It has a lovely v-neckline which reveals just enough skin while still being modest. This cardigan is from Target, but not available online yet. The brand is A New Day if you want to go hunt it down. I’ve also linked some similar options.
Knit Dress + Boots + Belt (Optional)

Dress (Under $50) // Boots // Belt // Bag // Earrings // Necklace
I’m so excited about this new dress. One of the few colors I buy outside of my beloved neutrals is olive green. It matches my eyes and works well with my skin tone. I didn’t know what to expect from this dress because it was super affordable, but it is such good quality and has the perfect fit. I’ve been looking for a casual dress that I could dress up or down for different occasions, and this is THE ONE. The knit is really lovely, it’s not clingy, and the slit gives it a little sexiness. I added a belt to emphasize my waist, but you could skip it. It is Thanksgiving after all.
Sweater + Faux Leather Pants + Pumps

Sweater (gifted; more affordable option) // Faux Leather Pants (size down if in between sizes) // Block Heel Pumps // Clutch (vintage; similar) // Necklace // Earrings
Hello, new pants! I finally succumbed to the faux leather trend, and I have to say I’m low key obsessed. I’ll be sharing some more outfit ideas for these pants soon! The combination of a beautiful knit sweater plus faux leather is SO good. I added some pumps for a little height, but you could wear black flats as well. I recommend these slingback flats from Marc Fisher (they do have a break in period, FYI!) See this post for four more ways to style this sweater.
Blouse + Black Pants + Ankle Boots

Puff Sleeve Top (size down) // Black Pants (size down if in between sizes) // Ankle Boots (code ASHLEYBOOTS20) // Bag (code ASHLEYR15) // Necklace // Earrings
The Everlane Dream Pants strike again (see more ways to style them here!) I’ve been wearing these pants a ton. They look like nice pants, but they feel like sweatpants which makes them an excellent option for Thanksgiving (elastic waistband and all.) I’ve paired them with the cutest top that has my favorite details – a square neckline and puff sleeves which is feminine and flattering. Plus this top has hidden snaps inside the shoulder to keep you bra straps from showing.
