I’m not one to dress super patriotic for the Fourth of July holiday. You won’t find me wearing a shirt with a flag on it or decked out in red, white, and blue stars. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that, but it doesn’t really fit my personal style. Instead, I typically choose to dress in either blue and white or red and white. In this post, I’m sharing a few Fourth of July outfit ideas you can copy, hopefully with pieces you may already have in your closet.

A FEW TIPS FOR YOUR FOURTH OF JULY OUTFITS
Pair casual pieces with dressier pieces.
If I’m wearing denim shorts which read pretty casual, I like to pair them with a nicer top like a floral blouse or linen button down. This balances the look and keeps it more elevated.
If you plan on being outside all day, stick to cotton or linen fabrics.
It can be HOT on the Fourth of July so stick with lightweight and breathable fabrics like linen and cotton to keep you cool.
Accessories are everything.
I’ve said this before, but accessories really make or break your summer outfits. Be sure to add some sunglasses (eye protection is important, too!) a hat, a few pieces of jewelry, and a cute woven bag to round out a simple summer outfit.

Fourth Of July Outfit Ideas

Pool Party
A red swimsuit is not totally necessary, but it does make this outfit very festive. I almost always wear a linen button down as a swimsuit coverup these days. A sun hat, sunglasses, heat and humidity approved sandals, and a big tote bag for sunscreen and towels round out this look.

Fourth of July Parade
I know many towns celebrate the Fourth with a parade or festival. This outfit is an elevated casual look with a few red details to make it holiday ready, and it’s comfortable enough to spend the day in.

On The Boat
I’m envisioning this look at an East Coast get together, Diane Keaton style. The blue and white stripes are perfect for the holiday but still work for the rest of the summer as well. I paired this top with some white shorts, a woven bag, and brown accessories.
