In this post, I’m sharing some everyday spring outfits with a cream sweater. A cream sweater is one of my staple pieces for spring. The color is light and bright for the season yet the warm knit keeps you cozy during those cool spring mornings and evenings. The sweater I’m styling today is from the Free Assembly line at Walmart. I’ve spoken about this brand before here on the blog and on Instagram. It is a fairly new line at Walmart that has a modern and simple vibe, very similar to Everlane.
This sweater fits true to size, although it is definitely pretty fitted. If you’re looking for an oversized fit, I would size up (I got my true size-x-small). If you’re tall or have a longer torso, you may want to size up, too. The sweater is a bit cropped.
All the outfits I’m sharing today would be great options for spring. I’m at stay-at-home mom so my looks tend to fall on the more casual side, but this sweater would also pair well with pants or skirts for work.

First up is this cream sweater paired with my favorite high rise mom shorts. I’ve had these shorts for two years, and they have held up so well. I wore them all last summer, probably like 3 times a week. I’ve linked the most current version of these shorts above. The length and fit on these shorts is perfect for me. I like that they are not too tight around the thighs.

I’ve said this before, but I’m really into the tonal looks that have been on trend this past year. Pairing multiple shades of the same hues makes this outfit so chic. These white jeans from Everlane are a favorite of mine. I purchased the petite, but I still needed to cut the hem about an inch so the jeans hit the right spot on my ankle. If you buy these, they will not have a frayed hem, FYI.

I love this look. This white blazer is from the same line as the cream sweater. It is almost sold out (damn!), but I linked some similar options. These jeans are a pair of Perfect Vintage Jeans from Madewell. This exact pair is old, but I linked a current version in a similar wash and the same style. I always size down one size in these.

This is a more casual look with the cream sweater. I would wear this outfit anywhere – to the playground, errands, hanging around the house. It’s comfortable and easy. This exact purse isn’t available, but I linked a similar option.

It’s a bit hard to see in this photo, but these are paperbag shorts that have a tie at the waist. I bought them last year from H&M so obviously they are no longer available (H&M rarely restocks items). Target carries a black pair of paperbag shorts that look beautiful so I linked those instead. I love cream and black paired together, and the leopard print in the mules adds a little extra detail.

This is another casual option that would be great for a weekend (or everyday for us SAHMs!). This skirt is fairly short so I always wear some cotton bike shorts (like these) underneath. #momhack
I hope this post gave you some inspiration for some everyday outfits for spring. I also made a video for Instagram if you want to see these looks in action. If you’re looking for even more spring outfit ideas, check out my March mini capsule wardrobe.
