Last week, I shared all my holiday outfit ideas for this year, (see those here and here) and in this post I’m sharing what I use to create a timeless holiday makeup look.
I’ll preface this post by saying I’m not a makeup artist – just an almost 40 year old mom attempting to feel her best. For this look, I use many of the same products I use daily and add in a few extras for a more glam look.
What I Use For A Timeless Holiday Makeup Look

COMPLEXION
Salty Face Tanning Water // This isn’t really makeup per se, but it adds such a glow to my face. It is essential for me when creating a radiant complexion. I use the Tanning Foam for my body as well.
Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint // This is my everyday foundation, but I’ll build it a bit more for a party look. I use the the Merit Brush No. 1 to apply it.
Tarte Foundcealer Foundation // A medium weight foundation that I apply to my stubborn red areas on my cheeks. I don’t use this daily, but it helps to even out my complexion.
Ilia True Skin Serum Concealer // I apply this concealer to the inner and outer corners of my eyes and then blend with a beauty blender. I also use a smidge along my nose and on my cupid’s bow for contouring.
Merit Bronze Balm Sheer Sculpting Bronzer // This is my every day bronzer that I’ll use more heavily for a party look. I apply it along my cheekbones, my chin, my temples, and the sides of my nose then I blend with a beauty blender. I use the shade Clay.
Ilia Multi Stick // You can use this stick on your eyes, cheeks, and lips, but I mainly use it as a blush. Cream blushes tend to fade quickly so I apply heavily. I use the shade Dreamer.
Glossier Wowder // I use this setting powder around my nose and chin to remove shine from those areas and keep my makeup in place.
Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm // I love this product! I use it as a highlighter to add a golden dewy finish. I apply it on my upper cheek area and on my cupid’s bow.
EYES AND BROWS
Kosas Air Brow Tinted Volumizing Treatment Gel // This is the BEST brow gel I have ever used. I think it has to do with the design of the brush. It makes my naturally sparse eyebrows appear much fuller.
L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Definer Eyebrow Pencil // I use this pencil to fill in the bare spots in my brows.
Morphe 9T Neutral Territory Artistry Palette // This is a budget find from Target. I use this daily to add a little color to my lids, but for my holiday look, I’ll add some of the shimmery shades. I don’t do anything fancy; I just cover my entire lid with color.
Shiseido Eyelash Curler // I use this daily to lift my lashes and open my eyes up a bit.
Jones Road Beauty Mascara // This is one of two mascaras I use when going for a more glam look. I apply this volumizing mascara first really focusing on the roots.
Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara // Secondly, I use my lengthening mascara after to really define and lengthen my lashes.
LIPS
Mac Lip Pencil and Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo // You can’t have a holiday makeup look without a red lip! I use this classic red from Mac.
