Hey there, beauties! I’m back with another three beauty products I’m loving this month. If you’re new here – every month I’m sharing three new skincare and beauty items that I’ve recently purchased and would recommend. Just a disclaimer, I have dry non-acne prone skin and my major concerns are fine lines, texture and elasticity so the products below will reflect those needs for the most part!
Another benefit of warmer weather, beside the obvious fact that we aren’t freezing our asses off anymore, is that we don’t have to worry so much about skin hydration and moisture. My winter skin is so dry, and I feel the need to constantly apply heavy moisturizers, creams and hydrating masks especially when I’m dealing with aging skin. With summer’s arrival, my skincare goals move towards creating that summer glow with that skin that looks bright and radiant.
Below I’m sharing a new concealer I’ve purchased that’s perfect for mature skin, an affordable charcoal mask you can purchase at Target, and an effective and luxurious feeling eye cream that smooths my fine lines and wrinkles.
Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer

Tarte Shape Tape is a cult favorite with a huge following of fans. This is the ‘ultra creamy’ version that is meant for dry or mature skin. I purchased this during a Tarte sale a few months back. I bought the travel version as the full size was not included in the sale hence the small size. You know a product is good when you buy it on sale, and then go back to purchase it at full price. This formula has a built in eye cream with hyaluronic acid for hydration. I find that it is less cakey feeling than other concealers, and it doesn’t settle in to the fine lines around my eyes. It has limited stock on Tarte’s website, but you can also purchase it at Ulta.
Bliss Spa To-Go Detoxifying 10-Minute Charcoal Mask

I picked up this charcoal mask at Target recently. I’m a big fan of the Bliss Mighty Marshmallow Bright and Radiant Whipped Mask so I thought I would try this one. It is a charcoal mask which is meant for removing build-up and toxins from the skin. I usually avoid charcoal masks in the winter because my skin is so dry, but I find I can use them in the spring and summer without problems. They make my skin feel super clean. This one is only $5 for .5 ounce and is clean and cruelty free!
Biossance Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream

Okay, this may be the most expensive skincare product I’ve ever purchased; however, the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes are probably the one area about my appearance that I’m most self-conscious about. I have an expressive face and was not very careful about sun exposure in my teens and 20’s so those lines showed up a little sooner than I would have hoped. I had heard great things about this brand and especially this product so I purchased it during the Sephora sale. Let me tell you, it lives up to the hype. The texture is super smooth and feels really luxe. After applying, the skin around my eyes feels especially hydrated and smooth. I can’t speak to the long term effects as I’ve only been using it a few weeks, but I will keep you posted.
