As you might know if you’ve read my blog before, Everlane is my go-to brand for many of my capsule wardrobe pieces. The brand always has a selection of modern yet timeless and high quality pieces I wear year after year. Last month, I shared a casual chic mini capsule with five pieces from Everlane, and in today’s post, I’m featuring three bottom styles from Everlane to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall.

Three Transitional Bottoms From Everlane
THE PHOEBE TROUSER
The Phoebe Trouser is Everlane’s newest trouser style. It has a super high rise (my favorite!) and a wide leg. This trouser is made from a thicker structured cotton so it will work for cooler temperatures as well. The angled front pockets are cut just right to give you that snatched waist look.
I love a white pant in all seasons, but the Phoebe Trouser also comes in black, navy, and sage if you would rather opt for a darker color. For my fellow petites, these pants have a long inseam and aren’t available in a petite length (yet!) so unless you only plan to wear these with heels, you will need to have them hemmed. I will say the longer inseam makes them perfect for wearing with heeled boots come fall.

THE UTILITY SHORT
The Everlane Utility Short is a good quality basic tailored short. These have a high rise, button and zipper closure, and 4.75″ inseam. They are made from a heavyweight cotton twill so they have some structure along with a bit of stretch.
I also own the bone color which I purchased at the beginning of the summer. I think these shorts are so chic and can easily go from work to the weekend. I own these in two sizes and I prefer the fit of the smaller size. These shorts come in a few other color options as well including navy and green.

THE WAY HIGH JEAN
You’ve seen me wear these jeans more times than I can count. I purchased my first pair a few years ago and have since amassed a little collection of different washes all in this same style. The wash I’m wearing here is called Mid-Indigo.
These jeans check all the boxes for me – a super high waist, rigid cotton material with just a bit of stretch, and a classic straight leg silhouette that goes with every shoe I own.
Everlane denim always runs long on my petite frame. They did release a third shorter inseam (25.5″) which is my ideal length, but I find that option is almost always sold out. Instead, I buy the middle inseam option (27.5″) and cut the hem using sharp scissors. For sizing reference, I always take my smaller denim size at Everlane, but because the rise is very high, you may want to consider taking your larger size depending on your body type.
