This week we celebrated my birthday! It ended up being the nicest day with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60’s which is highly unusual for February in KC. It felt like a dream and was a huge mood booster. I picked up a cappuccino from The Filling Station, took the kids to the park, picked up a decadent chocolate mousse treat from The Market at Meadowbrook, and ordered sushi from a nearby restaurant. It was lovely.
If you missed it, I shared three new posts on the blog this week. Check out this post if you’re looking for a new pair of jeans. I also shared my favorite easy salad dressing recipe, as well as my tried and true clean toiletry brands that I’ve been using for years.

We made this curry recipe from Skinnytaste, and it was seriously restaurant quality.
Walmart’s Free Assembly line just launched their Spring collection, and I’m really impressed. I ordered this white blazer, this boyfriend button down shirt, and this cream crewneck sweater.
I picked up some new beauty products while strolling the aisles of Target this week while the kids were in school. One item was this toner. It makes my skin feel extra clean.
I finished the first book in the Winter Books series by Elin Hilderbrand last week. Another one of my favorite authors, the first book takes place at Winter Street Inn in Nantucket at Christmastime. It was a quick read, but highly entertaining. I’m looking forward to reading the other three books in the series.
I’m making my way through this book right now. The writing is really beautiful.
My parents gave me a gift card to Madewell for my birthday (they know me well!). I ordered these white leather mules. Thanks, Mom and Dad!
The trailer for Season 4 of the Handmaid’s Tale just dropped. That show is so good but also so stressful to watch.
I’m super pumped for the Savage Sweat Challenge that starts Monday. There is still 2 days to sign up. My code is SWEAT11 for 20% off!
Hope you have a great weekend!
