We’re officially kicking off summer this week now that the kids are out of school. This time is always a little difficult to balance everything between work and home, but I’m hoping to work in the mornings and spend time with the kids in the afternoons. We will see how this new routine works out! I have some summer activities planned for this week, and this weekend, we kick off ten days of travel. You may have noticed it was a little slow on the blog last week; the end of the school year is always really busy, but, don’t fret, I have loads of content planned for the coming weeks that I’m really excited about it. I hope your summer is off to a good start!
STYLE
Here’s a roundup of last week’s outfits. As you can see, I’ve been favoring brown, black, and shades of beige for early summer. I’ve linked these looks below, and you can find all my Daily Looks here.
OUTFIT ONE // Brown Linen Shirt + Black Jeans
OUTFIT TWO // Black Bodysuit + Black Trousers
OUTFIT THREE // White Linen Tank + Tan Barrel Jeans
OUTFIT FOUR // Black Maxi Dress + Fisherman Sandals
OUTFIT FIVE // Striped Tank + White Shorts
OUTFIT SIX // Henley Tank + Black Pants
OUTFIT SEVEN // White Linen Dress + Brown Sandals
ENTERTAINMENT
We started House of Dragon last week, and I’m already confused; it seems I have forgotten everything since I watched the first season. We are still making our way through Ted Lasso as well. It’s a great summer show – it’s funny, with low commitment required, and it gives you the warm fuzzies.
I also watched a documentary on Netflix, Hack Your Health: The Secrets Of Your Gut which, as someone with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, I found highly fascinating.
I feel like I’m a broken record, but I’m still loving the Mel Robbins podcast for practical tips and advice. I’ve been catching up on the episodes I missed while I was recovering from my brain bleed.
FOOD
I’m still using and loving this cookbook for dinner recipes. I made these Teriyaki Salmon Packets shown above (served with white rice), a recipe for wild mushroom and zucchini enchiladas, and a chicken pesto penne pasta from Danielle Walker’s Substack. I know, I’m obsessed!
