I’m SO ready for spring to arrive. To be honest, I’m getting kind of tired of my fall/winter wardrobe and am anxiously awaiting the day we can wear short sleeves and mules again. I’ve been busy pinning away some outfit inspiration for spring, too. I plan on doing another spring capsule wardrobe so I’ve been thinking about what pieces I’d like to add to my closet. In this post, I’m sharing some spring style inspiration for 2022 and outfit combinations I’m loving.
As always, my style leans toward classic, cool, and comfortable, but I am excited to bring in a little more femininity to my spring closet with dresses and blouses. I also find myself drawn towards the timeless ‘french girl’ style as you can see by my inspiration photos. I’ve even contemplated getting bangs again, but I’m not sure I can handle the upkeep!
Spring Style Inspiration 2022
Stripes, Stripes, and More Stripes

There is something about stripes that just screams spring to me. I especially love stripes paired with a light wash denim and slim white sneakers. Add a little woven bag, and ooh la la, you’re ready to stroll down the streets of Paris. I have this Breton striped top from Everlane. It is out of stock in a few sizes, but here is a similar option.

The white button down is so classic and chic. I was just gifted this one from Parallel 51 that is made with 100% organic cotton and is the perfect relaxed fit. Use my code ASHLEY15 for 15% off. I especially love this look paired with straight denim (or denim cut-off shorts!) and some easy sandals.
A Blazer Worn Over A Tee

Blazers are a three season piece for me. I love them worn casually with a pair of loafers and a crisp white tee underneath. You’ll definitely see me wearing these looks all spring long. I own a great black blazer that I got, surprisingly enough, from Old Navy at a great price. Look for ones with a relaxed fit like this or this. I have my eye out for a light colored option, too.
Dresses and Skirts Paired With Sneakers

I’m not typically one to wear dresses all the that much, but I am determined to add a few to my spring wardrobe this year. Bonus that this outfit can transition nicely into summer. I am also thinking about adding a pair of Veja’s to my closet to have another sneaker option (I wear them so much!) I am inspired by flowy midi and mini dresses with cool prints in earth tones like this beautiful one from Ulla Johnson (totally out of my budget, by the way, but inspirational nonetheless!)
A Classic Trench Coat

I finally picked up a trench coat last fall, and I can’t believe I waited so long! They are chic AF. I have this one by Sam Edelman which is almost sold out right now, but here is a similar option. Look for a trench coat that hits at or below the knee for a more modern look. I adore the look of sneakers with a trench coat (I’m just sneaker obsessed over here!), but they go so well with a pair of loafers or mules, too.
A Feminine Blouse Pair With Light Wash Denim

I’m really into this combination of a feminine blouse paired with a great pair of straight leg denim. I like that this look is still casual but elevated and interesting. It’s a great outfit for a work-from-home mom who loves jeans, but wants to look cute and put together (raises hand!) I am still on the look out for some blouses, but I pretty much love every one from Sézane (obviously more of an investment option). Target always has cute affordable options, too, like this one.
Thanks for coming along with me as I daydream about spring fashion. We still have a few weeks till spring weather arrives here, but it was a fun exercise to find some inspiration photos and to begin thinking about my spring capsule wardrobe. If you’re interested, here is my spring capsule wardrobe from last year!
