It’s the most wonderful time of the year! With 2020 being shitty AF (pardon my language, but I’m just being honest), I get the feeling that many of us are already embracing the holiday spirit. I, for one, have begun turning on the Christmas tunes and making my holiday plans. I have yet to put up a single decoration (besides the little wrapping session above), but that will be coming soon. We always pick up a real tree the weekend following Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to decorating the tree, putting up the rest of my (minimal) decorations, enjoying lots of yummy treats and comforting food, packing some hot chocolate for a drive around town to see the Christmas lights, and settling in for long evenings of Christmas movie watching. Ahh, it’s the best.
Today, to get you in to the gift giving spirit, I’m sharing my holiday wish list. In my family, we ALWAYS share wish lists with each other so everyone gets gifts that they really really want and will use. Being a person who hates clutter and having extra things I never use, this way of gift giving suits me well.
As always my list only includes items to add to my wardrobe (I love clothes!). As you can see, this year I have lots of accessories on my list. I really am looking to make my outfits more interesting with little details like jewelry, hats, and bags. I also included some cozy additions to make my time at home more comfortable. I hope this gives you some ideas!
- Huggie Hoop Earrings: I don’t wear much jewelry, but I do like to add a couple pieces to my outfits. I’m really into simple gold jewelry that looks minimal, but chic.
- Bangle Bracelet: Another gold piece that will add a little detail to an everyday outfit.
- Kansas City Royals Hat: I’m looking to show a little hometown pride with this Carhartt brown baseball cap.
- Slippers: I’ve really been needing some new slippers to keep my feet toasty around the house.
- Oversized Sherpa Coat: This sherpa coat looks nice and cozy for the cold winter days that are coming.
- Crossbody Strap: This strap can be used on bags I already own to add an interesting detail.
- French Hair Pins: I’ve seen these on other bloggers, and they look so cute. This would be a great way to wear my 4 (and 5, 6, 7…) day hair.
- Mockneck Sweater: This gray mockneck sweater would look perfect with a pair of brown booties.
- Canvas Tote Bag: I’ve been eyeing this olive tote bag for a long time. Olive is one of my colors, and I love the canvas materials which makes it casual for mom life.
- Quay Sunnies: This is my favorite semi-affordable sunglasses brand. These ones look so cool.
- Olive Joggers: I could really use more clothing to lounge around the house in. I’ve heard great things about these joggers from Aerie.
