Four Ways to Style A Hoodie

In this post, I’m showing you four ways to style a wardrobe staple, the classic hoodie. These are four everyday looks that are casual and comfortable, perfect for the easy weekend or a stay-at-home mom.

Would you be surprised if I told you, I didn’t own a hoodie until last week? I used to own several when I was younger, huge oversized ones with my high school logo on it. LOL! I always thought hoodies were a little too casual for me, but I’ve been seeing a bunch of stylish girls rocking hoodies on Instagram lately, so I thought I’d give it a try.

I opted to layer it with four classic outerwear pieces, a denim jacket, a black blazer, a faux leather jacket and a sweater blazer. Of course, you could wear it solo as well.

I purchased this affordable cream colored hoodie from H&M. It is soft and cozy, fits true to size and comes in tons of other colors.

LOOK ONE
Denim Jacket (from Walmart, no longer available, similar) // Hoodie // Faux Leather Leggings // Sneakers // Beanie

I wish this denim chore jacket was still available. It is from Walmart’s new Free Assembly line, and the quality is excellent. I love how this cream color pairs with these faux leather leggings. These wool sneakers are the best! They are made with sustainably sourced Merino wool, and they keep my feet nice and cozy in the winter, yet are breathable enough to wear in warmer temperatures as well. I’ve had them for at least four years.

LOOK TWO
Faux Leather Jacket // Hoodie // Jeans // Sneakers // Hat

This is definitely my favorite look of this style session (I’m wearing it today, in fact!). I don’t find many opportunities to wear my faux leather jacket in my real life, but I can definitely see myself wearing this outfit out and about with the kids. As for the denim, I’ve professed my love for the Madewell Perfect Vintage Jeans before. I love the fit of these jeans. The are fitted to your butt and thighs, but are straight through the calf and ankle.

LOOK THREE
Sweater Blazer // Hoodie // Jeans // Boots

I’m still loving my J.Crew sweater blazer and wear it weekly. This exact color is no longer available, but I linked a similar color in heather khaki. These boots were such a good affordable find. They fit true to size.

LOOK FOUR
Blazer // Hoodie // Jeans // Sneakers

I love this look, too. These are new jeans that I recently purchased from Abercrombie. They are the high rise mom jeans, and they are SO GOOD. I love this light wash. I sized down one in these. This blazer is from Old Navy, and it has a boyfriend fit which makes it seem more casual to me. Perfect for my stay-at-home-mom wardrobe.
