In this post, I’m sharing five ways to style black Birkenstocks for late summer and early fall.
Not to jump ahead to fall (OMGIMSOEXCITEDFORFALL), but it’s time to start focusing on transitional outfits for the end of summer and early fall. I know many of you, myself included, are done making any summer focused purchases and are looking for pieces that work now when the weather is hot and also into early fall.

I recently purchased a pair of black Birkenstocks for this transition period, and as always, I like to come up with different ways to style them. They are a great sandal for creating smart casual or sporty outfits. You can pair them with trousers for a casual office look and also with biker shorts for mom-on-the-go or weekend look. They are really comfortable, and actually have good arch support which I didn’t realize before I purchased them but was a nice surprise. Right now, I’ve been wearing them on our trips to the pool (like everyday!); they are waterproof.
For sizing, they run slightly big in my opinion, but I only recommend sizing down if you are in between sizes. I purchased mine from DSW, but I found some more sizes here.
