Spring is approaching fast, and though I want to jump right into dresses and sandals, it’s still pretty chilly here in Seattle. Unless you live in a warmer climate, it will probably continue to be cold most days in the months of March and early April. With that in mind, I’ve put together five spring transitional outfits with jeans to inspire you during this in between season. These outfits utilize layers, closed toed shoes, and jeans to keep you warm, but they still feel spring appropriate. While we wait for warmer weather to arrive, I hope this post provides some inspiration for your daily looks.
Spring Transitional Outfits With Jeans
TEE + DENIM JACKET + JEANS + BALLET FLATS
TEE // JEANS // FLATS (STITCHANDSALT15 FOR 15% OFF YOUR FIRST PURCHASE) // DENIM JACKET (SIMILAR; SIMILAR) // BAG // SUNGLASSES // NECKLACE (ASHLEYROHR10 FOR 10% OFF)
Why It Works: Your girl loves a denim on denim look especially one with an oversized denim jacket and jeans in a similar wash. I also particularly like pairing black and denim together as well. The casual, masculine vibes of the jacket pair well with the ballet flats which add some unexpected femininity.

TEE + TRENCH COAT + JEANS + BOOTS
TEE // DARLING HAZE TRENCH (CODE ASHLEYR FOR 15% OFF) // JEANS // BOOTS // BAG // SUNGLASSES // BELT (OLD FROM MANGO, SIMILAR)
Why It Works: Here I’ve paired a white tee with a black trench coat, my current favorite pair of straight denim (I cut the hem so they would fit just right) and a pair of heeled ankle boots. For this look to work, make sure the hem of your jeans falls over the shaft of the boot. It looks more chic this way. The belt, tote bag, sunglasses, and chunky chain necklace complete this look.

TEE + BLAZER + WHITE JEANS + CONVERSE
TEE // JEANS (OLD FROM MADEWELL; SIMILAR) // BLAZER (OLD FROM MANGO; SIMILAR) // CONVERSE // BAG // SUNGLASSES // SWEATER // NECKLACE (ASHLEYROHR10 FOR 10% OFF) // BELT (OLD FROM MANGO; SIMILAR)
Why It Works: Styling white denim can be tricky. I usually like to either go monochrome with tans and beiges or go for a contrasting look with black. A blazer can feel a little dressed up, but I paired it with my high top Converse to make it more casual. This is a combo I repeat often.

WHITE BUTTON DOWN + WIDE LEG JEANS + HEELED BOOTS
BUTTON DOWN (I SIZED DOWN) // JEANS (I TOOK THE LONGER INSEAM) // SWEATER // BOOTS // BAG // NECKLACE (ASHLEYROHR FOR 10% OFF)
Why It Works: This outfit is definitely more of a new silhouette for me. I’ve paired an oversized button down with wide leg jeans. I think wearing the shirt untucked makes it more fresh and modern but you could tuck it in, too if that’s more your style. I think the reason this outfit works is because the boots have a heel and make my legs appear longer as opposed to a flat which would shorten my legs.

BLACK TEE + BLACK JEANS + TRENCH + LOAFERS
TEE // JEANS // TRENCH (I SIZED UP) // LOAFERS (STITCHANDSALT15 FOR 15% OFF YOUR FIRST PURCHASE) // SUNGLASSES // BELT (OLD FROM MANGO; SIMILAR) // NECKLACE (ASHLEYROHR10 FOR 10% OFF)
Why It Works: The black tee and black jeans gives this look a little more edge because the trench coat has a more classic fit. I also prefer wearing loafers with cropped jeans so a little ankle is showing. To make this look more interesting, I added a black belt and chunky necklace.
