Everlane has been my go-to brand for high quality basics for years and years. I always recommend it for people looking to build out a capsule wardrobe at an affordable price. Their pieces are classic but modern and will last you a long time. A huge portion of my wardrobe is made up of pieces from Everlane that I’ve collected over the years. Casual Chic Mini Capsule
For this casual chic mini capsule wardrobe, I’ve selected five pieces and styled them eight ways for summer. I chose three bottoms and two tops.
The Linen Relaxed Shirt // This button down shirt is made of 100% European flax linen. It’s lightweight and breathable, and the linen is not scratchy at all. I find this shirt fits true to size, although, I own two different sizes, one with a slimmer fit and one for a more oversized fit.
The Luxe Micro Rib Tank // This high quality basic tank is made from Supima Cotton which is known for it’s durability and is grown in the U.S. It has a ribbed texture and a slim fit. I recommend staying true to size.
The Linen Way High Drape Pant // This is the linen version of Everlane’s very popular Way High Drape Pant. These pants have a non-stretch waist, clasp closure with a zippered fly, and a wide leg silhouette. Personally, I take my smaller size in pants at Everlane (00) but, depending on your body type, you may want to stay true to size. Note that these pants do not come in petite sizing. I plan to take mine to the tailor to have them hemmed.
The A-Line Denim Short // I love these shorts! They have a high waist and a-line cut on the legs giving them a loose fit on the thighs. The have a 5.5″ inseam which is on the longer side, but not too long for petites. I own these in three washes – Neutral Chanterelle, Storm Black, and Spring Blue. I recommend staying true to size.
The Supima Pull On Maxi Skirt // This petite-friendly maxi skirt is a lightweight cotton fabric and has an a-line cut. I love the comfy elastic waist and chic print. I sized down in this.
