In today’s post, I’m sharing some affordable spring clothes for little kids. I scoured through my favorite retailers’ sites for kids’ clothes and picked out a few spring finds that I’m considering purchasing for my kids.

My Approach to Kid’s Wardrobes

It’s that time of year again when the weather begins to warm up, and we get to exchange our sweaters and coats for light weight jackets and tees. At the beginning of each season, I like to go through my kids’ wardrobes and make some decisions. I pack up items that will be too heavy for spring and summer and throw away any items that are too stained to be donated or passed on to family and friends.

Then I decide what items the kids need to fill out their wardrobes. We don’t have many clothes for our kids, usually about a week’s worth (including extras just in case). They will wear those clothes in to the ground for 3-4 months, and then we reassess.

I usually do one big shop at the beginning of each season for each kid. A few shirts, pants, a jacket or coat (usually those will last more than one season), and a pair of shoes. Kids are weird in that they may grow a ton in a short period, and then very slowly for a longer period so their wardrobe needs may change more in one season than in the next. We also get lots of good hand me downs from family too so that is taken into account.

Spring Clothing Finds

Each item in these collages is linked so you can easily shop the pieces if you find something that interests you. Like my wardrobe, I prefer simple, mostly neutral clothes that we can mix and match easily. Although if I gave my kid’s the option all their clothes would be covered in unicorns or cars. LOL!
