Happy weekend! We left home yesterday for our family road trip adventure. We are headed to Madison, Wisconsin to visit some friends, Chicago for some city sightseeing, and a beach town along Lake Michigan for some beach time. I’m pretty excited to finally be explore new places again.

This week was pretty busy as we prepared for our trip with errands and packing, but I was glad to have some extra time to work on the blog while the kids had summer camp in the mornings this week. We also had Ellie’s first T-Ball game this week which was hysterical as these 5 year olds really had no idea what they were doing. It was HOT and Ellie was a little overwhelmed with the crowd and noise, but I think she had fun.

I thought this interview with Amanda Kloots was so interesting. If you don’t follow her story, she lost her husband to COVID last year.
I just finished Kristin Hannah’s newest book, The Four Winds. I started reading all her books after reading The Nightingale. This one was good, but really tragic and depressing. Not my favorite one of hers, but it was still a compelling read.

I did one last quick Target run to pick up a few things for our road trip and grabbed this dress and this top.
