Minimal Thanksgiving Outfits

There so many different ideas about what to wear on Thanksgiving. Some like to dress up; others like to wear comfy lounge clothes. For me personally, my Thanksgiving attire is pretty similar to how I dress everyday. In this post, I’m sharing five minimal Thanksgiving outfits you can put together. I tried to keep these as comfortable as I could. No one wants to be cooking a bunch of food in fussy clothes!

Minimal Thanksgiving Outfits

Embroidered Blouse + Cropped Pants + Ankle Boots

Blouse // Pants (sold out from Quince; similar) // Boots (more affordable option) // Mango Bag (old; similar) // Earrings (code ABLEHOLIDAY40 for 40% off)

I shared this embroidered top from Sézane a few weeks ago. I think it would so cute for Thanksgiving. The embroidery throughout the top is so beautiful. I paired it with some cropped black pants and heeled ankle boots for a more dressy Thanksgiving look.

Turtleneck Sweater + White Jeans + Ankle Boots

Sweater (my version is from last year; linking this year’s version in same material) // Jeans (I cut the hem) // Boots // Bag

A sweater and boots is a classic combo for Thanksgiving. I kept this look monochrome and added some chocolate brown accessories. My sweater is from last year, but I linked this year’s version which is really similar.

Silk Top + Cuffed Jeans + Ballet Flats

Blouse // Jeans (I took my smaller size and the longer inseam) // Flats (code STITCHANDSALT15 for 15% off your first purchase // Bag // Necklace (code ASHROHR10 for 10% off)

A silk blouse is a nice dressy top to pair with jeans for Thanksgiving. I kept this look comfortable by wearing flats, but these are no ordinary flats! The woven texture and square toe make them modern and interesting. I cuffed my jeans to show off the flats and added an olive green bucket bag.

Sweater Coat + Wide Leg Jeans + Silver Boots

Tee // Sweater Coat // Jeans (I took my smaller size and the longer inseam) // Boots // Bag (code ABLEHOLIDAY40 for 40% off) // Necklace (code ASHROHR10 for 15% off) // Earrings (code ABLEHOLIDAY40 for 40% off)

A sweater coat is a cozy layer to wear around on Thanksgiving. Mine is from Mango, but I also own this one from ABLE which is 40% off right now. I added some cool wide leg jeans and silver boots for this look.

Cardigan + Elastic Waist Pants + Ballet Flats

Tee // Cardigan // Pants (code ABLEHOLIDAY40 for 40% off) // Flats // Bag // Necklace (code ASHROHR10 for 10% off)

If you really want to be comfortable on Thanksgiving, try a pair of pants with an elastic waistband. I added a cozy cardigan layered over a scoop neck tee and some white ballet flats as well.

Each of these looks is gorgeous (especially drawn to that lace top!), but I definitely have to shy away from light tones on Thanksgiving – I just know I’ll end up spilling! Saving some of these as inspiration for another day 🙂

Agree! Wouldn’t wear that one without an apron. 🙂
