As is typical with moving, we had to purchase a few new items for our new home in Seattle. The set up is a little different plus the house is a little smaller overall. The big item we needed was a new bed frame and mattress. Our new bedroom is much smaller than our old one (real estate in Seattle is much pricier!) I highly recommend this one as it was shockingly easy to put together – no tools required. In this post, I’m sharing other less expensive items we had to purchase from rugs to towels and dinnerware.
New Purchases For Our Seattle Home

RUGS USA WASHABLE SOUTHWESTERN MEDALLION RUG
As much as I love neutrals in my wardrobe, for my home, I like things a bit more colorful. We purchased this new rug for our living room. It’s just the right amount of worn in and looks more expensive than it actually is.

I love these glasses! They are the perfect mix of modern and mid-century style. I also like that they are stylish enough to use for a happy hour cocktail, too. This is the Sunset color.

I’ve been eyeing the dinnerware from Fable for years! We had cheap IKEA plates that were almost all chipped. This set is SO NICE. It has a light speckled pattern throughout which makes them a little more interesting than your everyday white.

ONE QUINCE EUROPEAN LINEN SHEET SET
We needed a new sheet set after downsizing from a King to a Queen size (sad face.) These are really soft and a nice medium weight which means they’ll work for all seasons. There are also really affordable as well.

We are new to composting (Seattle has a city wide compost program) so we needed a bin to keep for food scraps. This one actually looks nice on our counter and has filter on the lid which absorbs any smells.

Our new house doesn’t have any ceiling fans and this girl needs some air circulation and white noise in order to sleep well. This little fan is powerful. I really like this vintage white color, and it’s small enough to fit on our dresser or nightstand.

This is the duvet that matches the sheets we purchased above (we also bought the matching curtains, LOL) Again, these are really soft and the sand color gives the room an overall peaceful vibe.

AMAZON WHITE CLASSIC EXTRA LARGE BATH TOWELS
We were forced to buy a few new towels when we were waiting for our pod to arrive with our stuff. If you love a LARGE towel, you need these. I like that it covers me almost entirely.

AMAZON HONEY CAN DO CLOSET SHELF ORGANIZER
I needed a new place to store all my sweaters so I bought a couple of these shelf organizers. They are pretty inexpensive but look really nice. I can stack 2 sweaters per compartment.

Congratulations on this new chapter of life! Thanks for the rug recommendation! I once read an article that pink patterned rugs go with everything and have been looking for one for our den, but I like the coral pop of your rug. Can’t wait to get it delivered.
Thank you! I’m not usually a pink person but the little pop of color looks great in our living room. 🙂
