As 2021 comes to a close, I wanted to do a few year-end wrap up posts. I’m starting with my favorite purchases of 2021. These are the items that I wore or used over and over again. I separated items into categories – home, kids, clothing, and beauty. All of these things I purchased with my own money and would highly recommend!
My Favorite Purchases of 2021
1/ Caraway Home Fry Pan // After going through way too many nonstick pans over the years, we finally invested in a high quality and nontoxic pan for our kitchen. We’ve had it for many months now, and the ceramic remains in perfect condition. Plus it cooks eggs like a boss.
2/ Sony a7 III 4K Camera // Danny and I started using our nice camera to shoot photos this year, but it was pretty old and falling apart (literally). We made an upgrade to this camera, and it’s been a game changer as far as the quality of my Instagram and blog photos. If you look closely through my feed, you can probably tell when we started using this. We got ours used via Ebay.
3/ Silk Plant // The light in our house isn’t that great for plants, and, after murdering far too many live ones, we finally made the decision to just buy a few nice faux plants. We love the natural vibe it adds to our living room. Plus, we don’t have to worry about watering it.
4/ Planetbox Rover Lunch Box // My daughter started kindergarten in the fall, and I purchased this stainless steel bento box for her packed lunches that I’ve seen all over Pinterest. I love that it keeps food separate, and I can fill it with a variety of things. It also comes with 2 little containers to add dips, sauces, yogurt, or applesauce.
5/ Chore Chart // This year we started a chore chart with my kids (ages 4 and 5). I did an entire post about it here. It’s been so good for them to learn some responsibility and to teach them independence and autonomy.
6/ Innobaby Din Din Smart Stainless Divided Platter // When I bought my daughter’s lunchbox, I also purchased this bento plate for my son who eats lunch at home. He LOVES it! I even keep a highlight of lunches I’ve made with it on my Instagram if you’re looking for ideas.
7/ Levi’s Ribcage Denim // These are my new favorite pair of jeans! I purchased them on sale on Black Friday weekend, and I can’t stop wearing them. You can see them on me here.
8/ Sam Edelman Trench Coat // I’ve been wanting a trench coat for years, and I finally invested in one this fall. I found myself wearing it all the time! It looks super chic. This exact one has limited stock right now; although, I’d assume it will be restocked come Spring. If you’re looking for one right now, here is a similar option.
9/ Everlane Tote Bag // This tote bag has become my go-to mom bag. It’s on sale right now for $24!
10/ Caslon Lug-Sole Chelsea Boot // I thought the lug-sole boot trend wasn’t for me until I found these petite-friendly ones that aren’t too clunky. They have limited sizing right now, but they are restocked all the time so check back!
11/ Ouai Hair Oil // I discovered this hair oil this year, and it makes my hair look so shiny and soft, plus it tames my frizz and has a lovely smell.
12/ Ilia Lash Lengthening Mascara // This mascara lives up to the hype. I prefer lengthening mascaras over volumizing as I hate clumping. This clean mascara lengthens and separates beautifully.
13/ Tarte Babassu Foundcealer // Count this as the year I finally found my favorite foundation. This one evens my skin tone without looking heavy or cakey.
