If you’ve been around my blog for a hot minute, you know how much I love capsule wardrobes. Creating a capsule wardrobe is key to creating a functional wardrobe. It’s helped me become so much more thoughtful when making clothing purchases. I also know that many capsule wardrobes on the internet these days are mostly filled with investment purchases that most of us can’t afford. I don’t believe that capsule wardrobes have to be so cost prohibitive. And although I do think you should purchase the highest quality pieces your budget allows, in my opinion, it’s most important that you actually wear the clothes you buy – whether it be a $30 sweatshirt from H&M or a $200 pair of jeans from Nordstrom. So in this post, I’m sharing a budget friendly fall capsule wardrobe. Each item in this capsule wardrobe is under $50.
I hope that this post will be beneficial for those either building their first capsule wardrobe or those with a small budget for clothing purchases. When I’m looking for budget friendly pieces, I usually stick with H&M, Target, Old Navy, Everlane, and some of the more affordable lines at Nordstrom like B.P. and Caslon.
In order to extend the life of your clothes, especially those made with lower quality fabrics, only wash when absolutely necessary and always line dry.
