If you’re looking to build a quality capsule wardrobe on a budget, Quince is the first place I’d recommend. I’ve been lucky to have several partnerships with the brand over the years, and because of that, and along with my own purchases, I have acquired quite a collection of pieces from Quince, all of which are capsule wardrobe staples. I always include at least a few pieces from the brand in my monthly capsule wardrobes as well – you can’t beat the quality for the price. In this post, I’m rounding up my spring capsule wardrobe favorites from Quince along with a few extras to round out your capsule. I’m breaking it down into the basics like tees and tanks, shirts, sweaters, bottoms (including jeans), outerwear, shoes, and accessories.
Spring Capsule Wardrobe Favorites from Quince
The Basics

100% Organic Cotton Boxy Crewneck Tee // A white tee is a foundational piece you’ll need for your capsule wardrobe. I like having a few in my closet since I wear them several times a week. I don’t own this exact tee, but it looks very similar to another one I own from Everlane but at half the price.
Organic Cotton Micro-Rib Scoop Neck Tank // A simple tank like this is a must-have in my capsule wardrobe. I like how this one fits close to the body making it a smooth and unfussy option for layering under a blazer or other spring jacket.

Cotton Modal Double Scoop Neck Tank // Along with a more slim fitting tank, I like having a looser style tank to wear on it’s own or to layer. I think it looks a little more elegant than a tank that fits tighter.
Shirts

100% European Linen Long Sleeve Shirt // If it’s already warm where you live – it’s not here in Chicago, send help – a linen button up shirt is a polished but lightweight top option for work or weekend. I love styling mine with jeans or a long cotton skirt. This one fits true to size.
100% Organic Cotton Poplin Long Sleeve Shirt // This button up shirt is made with cotton poplin so it will be light and airy and good for warm climates. It comes in a few color options, too. Consider sizing up if you prefer an oversized fit.

Organic Cotton Relaxed Oxford Shirt // This button up shirt is the thickest of the three shirts I’m recommending here. It works well for spring in Chicago where it’s still quite chilly. It’s also really soft but structured. I like pairing it with jeans or a long white skirt either buttoned or unbuttoned with a tank underneath.
Sweaters

Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Crewneck Sweater // This cashmere sweater has been my most worn sweater since I received last fall. The fit is perfectly oversized, and it’s on the lighter side so I’ll be able to wear it well into spring. I’ve since added the black and camel colors to my collection as well.

100% Organic Cotton Striped Crew Sweater // This is such a good quality cotton sweater at such a good price. It has more of a boxy fit while the other cotton sweater listed below has a slimmer (but relaxed) fit. I own this one in this brown/white and also in the beige/white. I love pairing mine with a pair of shorts when the weather is cooperating. If you’re looking for the plain version of this sweater without the stripes, it’s right here (see the picture below! I’m including the navy in my next capsule wardrobe!)

Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan Sweater // A button front cardigan, along with being incredibly chic and feminine, is a nice change from the usual plain sweater. I own this one in black, and it has a classic fit – close to the body but not too tight. The brand also just released this cropped version that has more of a relaxed fit – it looks like a dupe for the Reformation Clara Cardigan.
100% Organic Cotton Roll Neck Sweater // This sweater is a newer release from Quince. I actually purchased it in the red/blue/off white striped option to included in my April capsule, but that quickly sold out. I’m keeping an eye out for a restock, but there are many other good color options. This one fits less boxy than the Cotton Crew Sweater above. It has that coastal chic look with a rolled neckline and a looser weave. It feels really soft as well.
Bottoms

Bella Rigid Straight Jeans // Quince just released a rigid denim, and at only $60, I had to try it. Verdict – they are so good! I would say they aren’t as thick as my Agolde ones, but the fit is nice. I took my usual size and, although they fit a wee bit tight right now, cotton denim tends to stretch over time. I have the 28″ inseam – hopefully they release more options in longer inseams!

Bella Stretch Relaxed Straight Jeans // These jeans are a stretch denim so if prioritize comfort when buying jeans, go with this pair. This one also comes in several different inseam options. I took my larger size because I don’t like stretch denim that fits too tight. Note that I actually own the curvy version – choose the option that best fits your body.

100% Organic Cotton Poplin Tiered Maxi Skirt // I received this skirt from Quince as part of a recent collaboration, and I LOVE it! I’ll be wearing it a ton this spring – with button downs, t-shirts, and sweaters. It fits true to size.

100% European Linen Pants // As we move into the warmer months, these linen pants are a good swap for your trousers. The white pair is a bit see through so I probably wouldn’t wear them to a work, but the other colors should be fine. If you prefer, Quince also sells a crepe pant. I haven’t tried them, but they get great reviews.
Outerwear

Italian Wool Long Blazer // I don’t own this blazer, but I would definitely recommend having a blazer in your spring capsule wardrobe. It adds polish and structure to a casual tee and jeans look, and you could also wear it to the office.
Water Repellent Windbreaker Jacket // A capsule wardrobe should have casual jacket like this. I don’t own this one, but I’ve had my eye on it (I already own something similar so I’ve been holding off). You could wear this with jeans on the weekend or to add a cool, modern edge to a business casual look. I would even wear it with that white skirt I linked above!

Comfort Stretch Trench Coat // This is probably the best quality trench coat you can buy for $100. It has structure but still drapes nicely. Highly recommend this one! It fits true to size.

100% Leather Oversized Bomber Jacket // On that same note – this is the best quality real leather jacket you’ll find at this price point – $250. It has this cool distressed texture that makes it look vintage. I took my true size, and it has an oversized fit.
Shoes

These would be my top four spring shoe options if I were building a capsule wardrobe with pieces from Quince.
Italian Leather Mary-Jane Ballet Flat // A classic Mary Jane ballet flat is definitely my most worn shoe in the spring months. It pairs well with so many outfits, and they are usually extra comfortable.
Italian Leather Fisherman Sandal // These are a good starter sandal for easing into the warm months without exposing too much foot. I own a similar pair from a different brand.
Italian Suede Gum Sole Sneaker // You’ll want a pair of slim profile sneakers for spring as well. I’ve actually been eyeing this pair – I love this beige color. These can be worn with jeans, trousers, skirts, and dresses.
Italian Leather Soft Loafer // A loafer is a great option for those of you who work in an office or need business casual wear. I own this pair and can vouch that they are incredibly comfortable.
Accessories
Don’t forgot accessories! I recommend a few pairs of sunglasses (these, these, and these are personal favorites and only $50), some chunkier hoop earrings, croissant earrings, a chain necklace, and a tote bag.
