If you’re starting from scratch building a capsule wardrobe and need some affordable basics, I highly recommend the brand Quince. I’ve been shopping there for years and, more recently, have been partnering with them on Instagram. For this reason, I get to try out many pieces from the brand (I know, pinch me!) and am very well versed in their offerings. For this post, I put together a few pieces from Quince that I think would make the perfect fall capsule wardrobe. In this mini capsule, I included 2 tops, 3 pieces of outerwear, 2 bottoms, and 2 pairs of shoes. Some of these items I own and a few I’ve been eyeing. With a few accessories, you could mix and match this capsule loads of ways, but I’m sharing my five favorites looks at the bottom of this post.
Quince Fall Capsule Wardrobe
Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Crewneck Sweater
If I could own one of these in every color, I would! This cashmere sweater is so soft with the perfect oversized fit. It drapes beautifully on the body, too. I have it in black and gray, but this brown color is really speaking to me.
Cotton Modal Relaxed Long Sleeved Tee
Everyone needs a basic long sleeve tee for the colder months. You can wear it on it’s own or layer it under sweaters and jackets. I don’t own this one, but I’ve got a bundle of them in my cart ready for my next order.
A nice wool blend blazer is your ticket to dressing chic in the colder months. Layer it with a long sleeve tee when the weather is mild and with a sweater when it gets colder. This one fits true to size for a relaxed fit.
Comfort Stretch Long Trench Coat
I’ve raved about this trench in the past. It’s well made, has good structure yet drapes really nicely, and it’s only $130. Trust me, this is a good find. It fits true to size.
100% Merino Wool Shawl Collar Long Coat
There is nothing more chic than a long wool coat for me. And this one comes in at $160. I wear my wool coats constantly from school drop off to date night. They are so versatile, and I highly recommend having a couple in your closet.
Bella Stretch Patch Pocket Jeans
I have this pair of jeans in the light blue, but I love this black color for fall and winter. These jeans are made with a stretch denim which I’m usually weary about, but these actually hold their shape. They are so comfortable! I have the 26″ inseam for reference (I’m 5’3″.)
Organic Stretch Cotton Twill Cargo Pants
I’ve been shopping around for a pair of tan pants to add to my wardrobe for the fall and winter months, and these just might be the winners. I love the cool, casual vibes, and I can see these styled so many ways.
Italian Leather Heeled Ankle Boot
A heeled ankle boot is probably my most worn shoe in the fall and winter. It’s very Parisian chic, and you know how I feel about that. I don’t own this pair from Quince, but they seem like a great option for only $150.
A classic slim profile loafer will never go out of style, but they are definitely having a moment right now. This pair from Quince is so comfortable with a soft leather upper, stretchy back, and cushioned insole.
