For the past several years, I’ve been keeping an ongoing wardrobe wishlist. Anytime I see something on Pinterest or Instagram that might fit well into my wardrobe, I add it to my wishlist and, at the start of the season, I reference the list (and my budget!) to make some purchases. It keeps me honest when I start feeling the spendies! I like to share my fall wishlist with you so you can see what I’m shopping for, and what items I believe deserve a spot in my wardrobe.
I have to say, I’m obsessed with this year’s wishlist. I’ve been very in to the earthy tones for fall including the deep reds and burgundies and shades of green and brown. I’m also gearing up for my first Chicago winter so I’d like to add more cozy pieces to my closet. Note that this list doesn’t include the big puffy coat I’ll definitely need come winter!
My Fall 2025 Wishlist

Do these not look like the perfect ankle boot?! The elongated square toe box, the little heel, the skinny ankle shaft, it’s all there. These are the boots that will go with pretty much any bottoms in my closet.

This went on the wishlist while I was researching this post. It’s giving Meg Ryan in Harry Met Sally vibes, and I’m very very into it. I love the oversized fit, too. This could be worn on it’s own for fall (maybe under a barn jacket?!) or layered over a turtleneck come winter. I’ve got so many ideas for this sweater!

I saw this on a recent post from one of my favorite Parisian style influencers and immediately added it to my wishlist. I’m a sucker for anything in this olive green color, but it’s also practical for fall in Chicago.

Sézane Emilie Cardigan in Burgundy
This would be my second color of this cardigan (see a full review with sizing recs here!) I see myself wearing this under trench coats and barn jackets in the fall.

Sézane Bridget Knee Boot in Glossy Chocolate
I can’t stop staring at these knee high boots from Sézane. I think the kitten heel would make them more wearable for everyday than my other knee high boots which have a significant heel. Plus, they look nice and loose around the calves which I think is most flattering.

I’m still undecided on the exact one, but I’ve been eyeing all the knit shift dresses for fall. I think these look adorable layered over a blouse or button down shirt and paired with knee high boots. This green one from Sézane is a top contender.

Sézane Christie Blazer in Houndstooth
I know you’re seeing a lot of Sézane on this wishlist but just go with it, okay. If you know me, you know I love Parisian style and everything from Sézane. This wool blazer has been on my wishlist for awhile. It’s so chic and versatile, plus this blazer is great for petites since it’s not too long (I own it in 2 other colors.)

Another ankle boot option that caught my eye (and gets rave reviews from the fashion girlies!) is the Staud Wally boot. I feel like this is a boot that will always be in style. Plus, it comes in a ton of color options as well as suede options.

TBCo. Wool Triangle Scarf in Burgundy
I saw tons of these little wool scarves last fall and winter, and I never got around to purchasing one, but I’m ready to this fall. It’s such a cute (and practical) little accessory that can be styled a few different ways. I love this burgundy option but it comes in loads of other colors as well.
That wraps up my fall wishlist for 2025. I hope this post gave you some ideas for pieces to add to your fall closet!
