Welcome to the Weekly Edit! In this weekly blog post, I share a life update and my daily outfits, plus links from the week.

I’m not usually one to complain, but this week was not my favorite. It rained (really poured) every day this week, and I just felt a little off. I don’t do well without sunshine. You’ll see my Instagram feed and blog content was a little light this week as a result. I should be back to my regular schedule next week, though.

Next week is my kids’ last week of school before summer. I was looking back through some pictures from the beginning of the year (does anyone else do this all the time?), and they have changed so much. We had a little end-of-year celebration at their preschool this week, and it was so adorable. Ellie is moving on to kindergarten next year, and my momma heart is feeling all the emotions.

We have exciting plans for this weekend. We are borrowing my in-laws RV and heading out to a nearby campground for a couple nights with my sister and her family. My kids have been wanting to spend the night in the camper for years so they are super excited. We are hoping to go hiking, fishing, and exploring the surrounding area a bit if they rain clears out.

Summer is approaching quickly and you might be thinking about some activities to do with your kids over the long break. On the blog this week, I shared some of our favorite activities to do with young kids in the KC area. Even if you don’t live in the area, it’s worth checking out. There are some ideas in there that aren’t specific to locals.

Links From The Week

I saw this almond cherry smoothie recipe on Ambitious Kitchen which is super similar to this smoothie I make all the time but has almond extract, vanilla extract and almond butter added. I tried it this week, and it was amazing.

I’m seeing so many cute pieces for summer on Everlane’s site right now. These air camis look nice and breezy for when the weather is unbearably hot and humid and these easy shorts look like something I could throw on for a day with the kids (which is everyday for me, LOL).

We have a road trip coming up in June so I’ll definitely be referring back to this article for road trip activities.

Ellie is starting T-Ball this summer (her first team sport experience!) so we bought this little T-ball set to practice. I’m not sure if I’m ready to enter the world of youth sports yet, but here we go.

If you’re looking for a brief daily news recap to stay informed, check out the Daily Skimm newsletter. They send you a daily e-mail with current events and news. I’ve been a subscriber for years.

I started the first book in the Bridgerton series this week, The Duke and I. I loved the show, and I am really enjoying the book so far!

Have a great weekend!
