Thanksgiving is just about here, and if you’re still thinking about your outfit (I started thinking about mine in October, don’t judge me), I’ve got some ideas for you. This post has six Thanksgiving outfits for 2025. I included a mix of casual and dressy looks to suit your comfort preferences for the holiday from skirts to dresses, trousers, and jeans; there is something for everyone here.
Thanksgiving Outfits 2025
I know everyone has a different idea about how to dress for Thanksgiving. My personal preference is to get a tad dressed up for the occasion. I’m a mom of two who works from home and rarely has the opportunity to get dolled up so when the day allows for it, I always take it! That being said, every single one of these outfits is comfortable enough for a day of indulging.
Blouse + Trousers + Heeled Boots

A combination of a blouse and trousers is always elegant and sophisticated. This mesh blouse from Mango is sheer in the back but covers everything you need it to in the front. For the rest of the look, I’m wearing my Aritzia trousers in black which are a similar comfort level as pajama pants in my opinion, with brown heeled ankle boots.
White Button Down +. Patterned Pants

These pants from Sézane are my new winter ‘fun pants.’ If you’re used to the millennial staple combination of a fun top and jeans, try swapping it for a plain top and fun pants. This new style hack has opened up my wardrobe so much. You could pair these with any basic top from a button down to a sweater or turtleneck.
Mockneck Top + Knit Midi Skirt + Knee High Boots

I, admittedly somewhat impulsively, added this knit midi skirt to a recent Mango order, and I’m so happy with it. I’m usually not a skirt girlie in everyday life but loved the idea of this combination for a winter occasion outfit. I’m wearing a slim knit top in burgundy with a warm brown knit midi skirt, and brown knee high boots. I love it! This top is the Felix Jumper from Sézane, and while it’s available in several colors, this burgundy option is sadly sold out. This sweater and this sweater are very similar if you’re looking for a similar color top.
Turtleneck + Shirt Dress + Knee High Boots

How perfect is this dress for Thanksgiving? The color (it’s called ‘Maple’!), the corduroy material, the relaxed fit – it’s perfection. I added a turtleneck underneath for a bit more dimension and paired it with some brown knee high boots.
Fair Isle Sweater + Jeans + Boots

You really can’t go wrong with a sweater, dark wash jeans, and boots for Thanksgiving, but I do love the added print of a fair isle sweater like this. These jeans are a comfy mid-rise making them very Thanksgiving friendly. Given their sale price, they will probably be discontinued; however, this pair from the same brand looks like a great alternative. To complete the look, I’m wearing my flat black boots which are also comfortable enough to wear all day.
Plaid Shirt + Sweater Vest + Jeans

Plaid is the print for Thanksgiving, is it not? This one is from Sézane (they always have the best plaids!) I added a brown sweater vest over top for this layered outfit. This one is sold out in this color; here and here are similar options. I paired this with those same mid-rise jeans and heeled ankle boots.
I hope this post gave you some ideas for your Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving festivities this year. It’s one of my favorite holidays because it revolves around food and family, two of my favorite things. Happy holidays!
