A t-shirt dress is an easy classic that is simple but easy to dress up with a few thoughtful layers and accessories. It also easily transitions from summer to fall so it works well for this transitional season. In this post, I’m showing you five t-shirt dress outfits to wear from summer and into fall.

I recently purchased this t-shirt dress from Everlane. It’s made of organic cotton, and it’s a nice mid weight fabric that feels high quality but not too thick to wear in the summer. I sized down to the XXS, but you could also stay true to size for a looser fit. This colorway is called ‘Brazilian Sand,’ but I also love the Beech and Black colors as well. It’s also pretty affordable at $45.

With Birkenstocks and A Belt Bag

This spring, I officially became a sweater over the shoulders convert. It’s so dang chic. I especially like the look when done with a striped sweater. Simple white fashion sneakers and a big tote bag complete the outfit.

A denim jacket over a t-shirt dress can look a little dated if not done right. Here, I’ve added these trendy color block sneakers and kept the color palette neutral which makes this combo feel a little more modern.

With A Long Line Cardigan And Ankle Boots

Now we are getting into fall here! This longline cardigan works well with this t-shirt dress as both fall at about the same spot on my legs. I added some classic cognac ankle boots and crossbody bag for this autumn inspired look.

First of all, please ignore the random cat tail in this photo. I couldn’t get her to move. Second of all, I’m so excited to wear shackets again this fall; I hope they never go out of style. They are such a cool layering piece. Here I paired my shacket and t-shirt dress with some chunky (but not too chunky) Chelsea boots for a ‘cool girl’ look.
