Sézane Betty Cardigan Review
The Betty Cardigan is part of Sézane’s regular collection. This piece is always in stock in various color options, and new versions are released with seasonal collections. It is a cropped cardigan with large tortoiseshell buttons down the front, chest pockets, a collar, and cuffed sleeves. It has that ‘lady jacket’ look that is very trendy right now, but I think it is actually timeless and chic.
The fabric is 100% merino wool. I sometimes find Sézane’s wool knitwear to be a little scratchy, but this is super soft and not itchy at all. It fits true to size and has a relaxed fit. For reference, I’m wearing the XS.
Versatility is very important to me when adding new pieces to my wardrobe, and the Betty Cardigan is incredibly versatile and can be styled so many ways. Below I’ve styled it six ways, and I could have done more, but my camera died (c’est la vie…)
I own the ecru color, but I also really love the black, hazelnut, and ecru/black striped colors. One of the best features of this cardigan is how it can be worn to fit your style. I have a more minimal, casual style so that is how I’ve styled it below, but you could totally go more feminine and dressy with it as well. Try wearing it buttoned or unbuttoned over a midi dress with knee high boots or with a slip skirt. It can also be worn with trousers for work. There are so many options!
