How To Style A Plaid Blazer For Fall

As you know, blazers are one of my favorite outerwear pieces. They are tailored, chic, and classic. In this post, I’m showing you how to style a plaid blazer for fall with seven simple outfit ideas.

I just purchased this blazer coat from Abercrombie to add to my fall wardrobe. I’ve shared more details about this exact blazer below, but I’ve also linked more options at a variety of price points at the bottom of this post.

A good test of whether you should add something to your wardrobe is to think of how many outfits you could create with that piece using items you already own. It’s an exercise I always do before I purchase something, especially an investment purchase like a coat, blazer, or shoes. This plaid blazer definitely passes the test!

How To Style A Plaid Blazer

Plaid Blazer Outfit Details

For this plaid blazer outfit, I’ve gone classic with a white tee, straight denim, and heeled ankle boots. This outfit feels like chic french girl style. My blazer is thick and made of a wool blend (29%) so it’s warm enough for winter as well. I’m wearing an XS in the regular fit. It also comes in petite and tall sizes. If you’re shorter than me (less than 5’3″, I would go with the petite size. At my regular size, it fits slightly oversized and gives me enough room to wear a sweater underneath. To achieve this bunched sleeve look, I’ve rolled some hair ties over my sleeves and tucked the sleeve up and under.
