I’m showing you three dressy holiday party outfit ideas. Even though my regular wardrobe is pretty casual, I love getting dressed up for the holidays! I don’t get to do it very often so I’m pumped when the fancy occasion arises. For these outfit ideas, I have one that is more modest and elegant, one fun little party outfit, and another chic black jumpsuit for a more formal occasion.
Three Dressy Holiday Party Outfit Ideas
LOOK ONE: Turtleneck + Slip Skirt + Heels
Turtleneck // Slip Skirt (I sized down to the XXS) // Heels // Bag (old from ABLE; similar) // Hair Bow
The combination of a turtleneck and slip skirt is just so classy and elegant. These are capsule wardrobe staples that you can pull out when a fancy occasion arises. I love this tonal look with the creamy white top, camel skirt, and nude heels, but you can choose your favorite colors. All black would also be super chic. Be sure to check out this adorable hair bow that I recently picked up from Free People.
LOOK TWO: Velvet Romper
Velvet Romper // Block Heel Pumps // Bag (vintage; similar) // Hair Clips
I can’t even with this holiday outfit?! I had my heart set on something velvet this year since it’s really trending, and I love the textural element it adds to a festive holiday look. I found this velvet blazer romper at Express after wandering into the store after making a return at the mall. And, oh it is so good. It is sexy without being too revealing. The romper style makes this outfit a little more comfortable as opposed to having a short little skirt that I would be self conscious about. I added these fun gold hair clips to jazz this outfit up even more. This is definitely my favorite look!
LOOK THREE: Black Jumpsuit
Black Jumpsuit (wearing the XSP, runs small in the bust area) // Block Heel Pumps // Bag (vintage; similar)
I think a black jumpsuit is so chic for the holidays. I’m not a huge dress person so when I see the opportunity to wear pants instead, I take it! This jumpsuit has a corset bodice with a flared split hem pant leg. It unfortunately sold out too quickly in the black, but the teal color is still available. I’ve linked a bunch more similar options here. You could jazz this outfit up with some gold heels, like these or these, to make it more festive. I love how the bun accentuates the shoulder area, too. This jumpsuit also comes with straps if you prefer to wear it that way. I would wear this to any fancy holiday party.
