We are coming off a gorgeous weekend full of sunshine. Isn’t it amazing what nice weather does for your mood? It felt like summer here in Seattle, and it makes me so excited for the coming months. We’ve starting researching patio furniture and thinking about doing a small container garden. Warm weather is where I thrive.

In this post, you’ll find a wrap up of the outfits I wore last week, some new recipes to try, a new book I’m loving, and finally some noteworthy news. Enjoy!

What I Wore This Week (find links on the Daily Looks page of my blog)

FOOD

I have three new recipes to share this week.

Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Garlic Cilantro Lime Slaw from Pinch of Yum: Everyone in the family gobbled this meal up! I reduced the spice for my kid’s sake, but otherwise stayed true to the recipe. We used Siete Foods Almond Flour Tortillas.

Sesame Orange Chicken from Danielle Walker: This recipe is an old stand-bye. I used to make it a ton in my paleo days. It comes together really quickly especially if you use the Instant Pot method. We served ours on a mix of jasmine rice and cauliflower rice.

Banana Bread Baked Oatmeal from Erin Lives Whole: I had a few ripe bananas on the counter so I whipped up this easy dish for breakfast one morning last week. Rave reviews all around.

ENTERTAINMENT

Danny and I watched the newest season of True Detective in it’s entirety last week. It had us hooked after the first episode but was a little slow the rest of the season. It is creepy AF so if you can’t handle that before bed, definitely skip it!

I’m working my way through Good Inside by Dr. Becky. I prefer to read self-help books a bit at a time so the information can really sink in. I’m about halfway through, but I can confidently say it’s the best parenting book I’ve ever read. I got Danny to start listening to the audio book. He found it free on Spotify.
